Because packing is different and unique to the deskmat so you could only order a deskmat meaning you'll have to pay shipping twice if you want something else. Deskpads will be availabe on the same proxies. We are currently waiting for another round of samples.
In terms of shipping, at least for NovelKeys, you will not be able to checkout in the same cart as the keycap set. There will be a big enough difference in shipping time of both products that we wouldnt be able to store one or the other as we wait for them to arrive.

Can anyone confirm if the alphas are going to be cream or white? In the IC thread biip mentioned it was going to be cream ws4 like camping. I was thinking it would be more on the white side based on renders.
Its gonna be more rose/warm.

I'm not sure about the nano bento. its not dark greyish blue like it should be, and IDK how possible it is to get the slider working with VoiceMeeter. Plus, I don't really have a use for a macro pad considering all my boards have layers lol. We'll see.

Yeah I had the wiki-buy extension on chrome and it found and tried it for me, but honestly it was 8$ off I'm sure you'll enjoy this keyset way more than 8 dollars worth :).

It is one of the nicest novelty designs I have seen, but just cannot justify the price of the nano to get this one keycap.

Love the look of the set. Put in an order for the base, space bar, and salmon keycap. The macro pad looks really nice too, I just wish it had more keys so I could use it as a numpad. I would jump on something like that right away.

Yeah, generally when a kit doesn't hit MOQ people get refunded. We are actually trying to reduce the Kobe kit MOQ from 150 to 100, otherwise, vendors and I will get extras in order to reach it.

The base set comes with a 6.25 and a 7u spacebar. Im not too sure about the f660m though because while it uses a 6.25u spacebar, I think the older ones have wierd mounting points.

I talked a lot with GMK and the vendors and the thing is that its tough for us to add keycaps because on how competitive our pricing was (that was my intention to have the minimum possible margin tho). So, after discussing we decided to add 3 novelties into the base kit (keep in mind that the size of the keycap matters here too).

Those final numbers are awesome, I didn't expect it to hit those numbers especially while Jamon was running pretty much concurrently.
I'm guessing spacebars will go +500 and Kobe is going to hit MoQ with vendor numbers if you are expecting 1k base?

I'd prefer something like that. I most likely wouldn't have any use for an other row (r3 or r4) novelty personally. Feels like everyone else does though. And since it's a bonus I wasn't expecting anyway, I guess I could add my voice to the full R1-R4 as well.

As mentioned before, we (vendors and I) wanted to offer the most competitive price possible, which means the margins are really small. I talked about that with GMK and we came to the conclusion that adding large keycaps (or many 1u keycaps) wouldn't be a smart move. We had the opportunity to do that with the base kit because we hit the 1k MOQ tho.

Definitely agree. I think the white is easily the worst of the bunch. It looks very cold, like a light grey, instead of a warm creamy off-white.

I hope the white will get adjusted, from looking at the samples. Renders have that really nice creamy, soft white that complements the other colors. That harsh, cold, white would make the whole set look really cheap unfortunately. Blue isnt bad but could be a little darker with less saturation. Regardless, Im confident the end result will look really good if the fixes are made.Hes working on correcting it, I think well get there

Are we still planning out the first production run?First round buy is done, hes just finalizing the color samples before it hits production. When the vendors receive the sets and get all of the GB kits shipped they will likely have extras that are available in limited quantity.

I was really on the fence about the nano, but I have some ideas to make it useful. Was hard to pass up when I saw how well it will likely match the quantum blue volcano. If the nano bento render colors are accurate, it will match almost perfectly

Personally can definitely wait for a few more weeks honestly, as long as the end result is superb. So take your time! :)

GMK ship to the vendor you bought from, then they'll send out.
Production is usually 16 weeks for custom colors, and shipping to vendors probably takes a week. I think it's fair to approximate 20 weeks?

Itll be a lot works for non-Massdrop keyset gb to offer price drop.
Furthermore, with recent changes to how Paypal do the refund, even Massdrop introduced caveat recently on refund for payment using Paypal.

The price drop thing is a mess, even with how Massdrop have done it in the past. A lot of people have had issues with payment due to how it works.
Someone needs to find a better solution before others would be able to implement it.
And even if they did, for sets outside of what is on Massdrop, I'd say that this sets volume is an outlier, so even if someone were to figure out a good method, how often would it actually be used?
Adding more caps is a simpler work around for both sides.

This thread has been surprisingly quiet update-wise, especially considering its success. Delivery has been pushed back to August, the reason being "colour matching takes time", but we haven't seen further samples since the first round quite a long time ago.

Not part of the GB but the pink and blue looks quite saturated in the samples. Maybe it's just the camera and light but the renders have a far more muted look which I think is better.
I think it might just be the lighting. Even comparing the two, the top photo is much darker than the bottom. Comparing the renders and these photos, it does seem like the renders are more muted.

I think I should just not make photos when I get sets early lol, seems to do more harm than good. I would say it's very much in line with the renders when it sits in front of you. Just wait till it arrives.

The bottom left key didn't seem to work, so I attempted trying to create a new .hex file to test it out to make sure it wasn't an issue with the pcb itself, but I'm having some issues. I'm kind of a noob at this stuff and I followed the guides on their website, but I can't seem to create a .hex file. Does anyone have a link for dummies to learn how to do this?

On another note, does anyone know how to make the midi potentiometer control my main computer audio? I struggled for a while last night before going to bed.
I downloaded everything that was on the google drive. What files did you try flashing? I tried flashing a default .hex file I found for the nano slider from that folder, and it seems to make the top 3 keys media back, play/pause, media next and enter. The slider doesn't affect the volume or anything. I also found 2 different support pages with slightly different instructions, but still can't make the .hex file from following either.

I havent tried flashing my nano yet, but have you tries pressing the reset button on the bottom of the board when its plugged in? You have to unscrew the bottom weight first to get to it. Saw it when I took apart my nano to lube the stabilizer.Got my Nano in. qmk toolbox could not detect this board anyway, idk why, last night I did try to reinstall all driver from qmk

Yeah got things done. i'm trying to use default keymap, media keys work but the slider part does not work somehow.
none of the instructrion show how to work with that slider

Julien and I have been reading the keebwerk. comments, a lot of confusion is occurring here.

The nano. works like any other QMK keyboard, just with a added MIDI functionality. The MIDI slider communicates with the PCB in a language that can be read by literaly any program that is MIDI supportive,you can use Photoshop apps, Foobars MIDI plugins, Windows Vol. and more! All you have to do is then just google "MIDI for Windows volume" and find the necessary app. MIDI is extremely powerful and can be used for anything.
Julien will update the manual part to provide different uses for the nano. slider, so for windows volume and foobar, lightroom, and more. There will be a comment section opened too!
