Suggestions For First Keycaps??

(1/1)

k1aska:
So, I'm getting all the parts ready to build my first custom keyboard, It is going to be an entry level NK65 with Cherry Reds I'm gonna lube. This is a low budget build, so I would love any suggestions on brands/color schemes/ profiles. (Also, IK this is a keycap page, but if you have suggestions for different switches that you think would be better and what kind of lube you prefer that would also be great.) https://tutuapp.uno/
Thanks in advance!

Any NK's Cherry PBT sets that you like would be a solid choice. Inexpensive & high quality IME. Also they have some really nice colorways. Same thing goes for Cannonkeys Cannon caps & NicePBT sets.

AlvisMarvin:
When mixing keycap colors, you can choose according to personal preference or create contrast to make the keyboard stand out more, if you have a separate theme for your keyboard (for example, a keycap set based on anime, movies, or classic style), you can choose the appropriate keycap. On Google there are many suggestions you can refer to

What are some good budget-friendly keycap set options that would pair well with the Cherry Reds on the NK65?
papa's scooperia

Hello! There are a multitude of options you can pick when buying keycap sets and switches. Cherry reds are a nice switch, when paired with a good lubricant like Krytox 205 they could deliver a nice sound profile. I'm currently using WS Morandi switches, they deliver a smooth and creamy sound profile but aren't as poppy as Creamy Yellows per se. Any quality PBT keycap will work, depending on the profile, it just comes down to preference of aesthetics and what will compliment your build!
