Recommend me a keyboard?

Good morning

I know this is likely a cliche request but I've been out of the "scene" for years and don't know where to start.

I think sadly that my GMMK is dying; unfortunately it was really working well for me up until last week.  Even more unfortunately, it appears Glorious no longer makes a true full size GMMK.  I *might* be OK with a 1800 style layout which I see they do make, but I'd have to find the rest of my keycaps and I'm not sure if I would like it, I'd have to try it.

What I want:

a bog standard 104 key layout, alternately maybe a 1800 style layout.
PBT keycaps.  I can't compromise on this, although I have some 4 year old /dev/tty on the GMMK so I could use those.  I will literally destroy ABS keycaps, those are not an option, although I've had one set of PBTs for over a decade and they still look fine.
Hotswap Cherry style switches; I would like to reuse the Boba U4s that I have in the GMMK as this is an office keyboard and I really like those switches.
I really don't care about backlighting etc., it's cool but not mission critical.

I guess tomorrow I will have to bring in my old work keyboard which is a Filco Majestouch 2 that I swapped the switches for MX Clears from a POS Cherry keyboard (mumble) years ago, long before anyone ever thought about being hot swappable.  It's still a good board and has some old PBT keycaps on it, I can't remember the seller but they came from China and if you reminded me I'd remember.

Looking at the new Majestouch 3 it looks close to perfect except for the lack of hotswap.  Am guessing the full size Leopold are not hot swappable either?  I actually have a Keychron C2 with the Gateron browns but the problem with that is the keys are not 100% standard.  I do have the Keychron PBT caps for it though.  Browns bottom out too easily for me but that can be fixed I guess.

Open to suggestions before my fingers go on strike, I'm typing this on a Logitech dome board and I'm hating every second of it.

Keychron would be the general go-to these days for mid-range, well-supported boards.  They have a fair number of full-size, and I believe most of their standard keycaps are PBT, but a few of the cheaper models will have ABS.  Finding PBT keycaps in any profile and price point is not hard now, though.

Hey! Based on your requirements, I would recommend looking into the Keychron K4 or K8 models. They offer a 104-key layout or an 1800 style layout and support PBT keycaps. You can also explore other options for PBT keycaps in different profiles. The hot-swappable feature is a deciding factor, so the Keychron boards might be a solid option. Good luck with your search!
