[IC] DCS Handerbeit
« on: Wed, 20 May 2015, 17:02:50 »

DCS profile. I'll take suggestions on some sort of mildly universal ISO kit (ISO enter + some blanks)

Even though this is my fav set by far, I could only ever get it on GMK Caps. Maybe you can convince bunny to do it with his new fangled cap makers?

Both shifts, caps, and backspace. Would prefer the actual words versus those odd arrows.

If anyone could quickly get a render done with the proper arrows and slightly more vibrant, OG colors that would be awesome (my design skills are somewhat entirely lacking :p)

Also as was suggested before, it'd be cool to see JT Keycaps take this on.

I personally would stick with GMK as well to keep it as original as I can make it.

this'll probably end up being a quick PMK buy or something so JT or GMK could do a bigger run for those who'd prefer it to be totally OG

And this.

I think GMK was considered before, but the combination of custom colours and the colour spread across the keyboard made it untenable.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well, the legends got fixed. And yeah, they just couldn't hit MOQ. Though with how much more popular the hobby has become combined with JT it might be doable

this'll probably end up being a quick PMK buy

SP has posted they are now going to a model where if an IC gets enough votes they'll make it and sell it in the keyshop, this might be a good candidate for that.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. Nothing huge, just a quick, cheap thing for people who want to throw some color on their boards.

Hey ppl

Welcome to Geekhack!

Are you planning on joining a potential Handarbeit group buy?
