slip84, I wanted to say I really appreciate your thoughts on the key you received.

The MX donors I use to make these caps I really enjoy because of the profile and thickness :)  You noticed a detail I very much enjoy.  The contrast between the gray-scale color and orange is pretty neat, and orange and blue really pop!

I will be paying more attention to my gray-scale temperature.  You did mention it was a bit cool, and when working with this black it is a bit further towards the blue side.

If you're taking photos of this key I would suggest using a blue/navy background and cool temperature lights.  The orange is very vibrant and most sensors will not need much exposure to pick it up.  It was a challenging key to photograph for my website along with a number of the other orange caps.  This is definitely something I need to think about.

Keep an eye out for more designs!  Something else might catch your eye.

I remember when danielucf messaged me when I started making caps and requested I make a Necronomicon from The Evil Dead.  The smiling jack was definitely inspired from that request and the copper color really lends itself to the details/presentation of the piece.  This is in part a thanks for the idea. 

Ideas keep work for folks like me interesting and fresh.  Blocks happen to everyone and luckily there has been no shortage of support from the GH community when it comes to concepts :)

I'd love to make more V2 hand-e-caps if people really wanted them.  The master is still around.  There are just case clearance issues.

The name for that color is seafoam green, surfer green, or sifo-m-green :p

Yeah... thats why I have it where I do, no rubbing in that position. Replicate the design with more clearance? The realistic design is much more appealing to me. (and probably others since I think you said they weren't selling as well)

You could put a small square of plastic (I use plastic ziplock bag) about 1cm square over the bottom of the keycap before you push it on the switch - same as a lot of people do for Costar stabiliser inserts.
