Because I have problems dealing with the death of my dog when i was ~12.

Okay so I've currently got a Nyancat for a backspace, I'll get some pictures up later but after seeing them in person:

1. Nyancat definitely looks awesome on either blue or white. On the blue key, she isn't blue enough to say it isn't grey and perfectly colored. Rainbow still looks awesome, everything looks fantastic except the stars on any key.
2. Blue stars are definitely necessary on white keys because you can't really see the yellow on white at normal sitting height... and its even worse on the blue.
3. The alternating wave on the rainbow isn't really too noticeable but it's there if you look for it.
4. The violet wave looks purple enough, but on the downward arc escape keys have a violet wave that mostly overwrites the blue one.

At the moment I'm thinking white with blue stars or blue with some other color of star, probably a dark blue.

So wait, are these row 4 or esc row? I was looking forward to row 4s to use with my portal caps.

When you're just sitting from your desk, you can't really see the wave effect, so I'm going to see what the difference in cost is for only using one "neutral" 1x key instead of an up and down key... if it's going to save everyone a bunch of money, we'll probably go with that.

If that's true, I'll go modify the image so that its a even number of up and down parts on each key. Also I can try to move the up and down parts a bit so that its a bit more noticeable. Let me know if that's a good idea.

If  you could do the second option, that'd probably be my favorite outcome, we can still make changes to the design as much as we want right now. I'm still going to ask about only doing 1 1x key since only doing one will up the quantity for that key, and we'll see how that turns out.

Just to remove one more variable, we're going to do it on White, I just decided. Go ahead and change the color of the stars to blue.too.

Edit: Yeah Gen 2 30in, and a 23in at the right of it. Also lots of keycaps... and forgive the terrible picture of my setup, its nighttime.

For some reason I thought that SP would package the portal sets in well, sets. Not a giant bag of keys. That makes things significantly more difficult for you. Sorry about that.

They're individually packaged in sets within the big bag... so it is how you imagined. I just plop the set in the box. I guess I'll be running to the store to get ziplock or sandwich bags for the SC2 keys though.
