Really sorry for taking such a long time to give an update.

Unfortunately, because the full set didn't meet enough demands, the full set is cancelled.

However, the icon mod pack GB will still go on!

And yes, there will be GMK logo caps too.

We should still go on and discuss about ISO though.

The best source for WoB are old keyboards, however, they rarely match modern keyboards, mainly at the bottom row, that is the reason that makes the mod set a necessity. Available sets may come with 1u mods, or 1.25 ones but with off centered stems, that make them unsuitable for modern boards.

This is most probably the biggest update for this gb now.

Addition of few keys into this set

I've decided to add in two keys to cater to the interests of people who wants this set for their ISO layout, or to convert their ANSI set into ISO.

OG WoB ISO is hard to get. I haven't even seen them before. So I've decided on adding these two keys:



R3 ' # (with front printed ~) and R4 > < (with front printed | \) respectively.

Also, every set comes with one Cherry Logo WoB keycap on top of the two ISO keys.

Price increase

The set is now $55 as opposed to $50 as per the initial GMK renders.

Any extras will help out with the MOQ, on top of the 10+ sets that I've taken them myself.

Initially, I wanted to remove the spacebars and replace them with the ISO keys but there is quite a huge amount of people who ordered this DO NOT want the spacebars to be removed so I believe this is the best choice.

I will start issuing invoice that will be due on the 9th of June. If you have any order changes, please let me know.

These will be the final changes made to this set. I believe and I hope that this set will accommodate the needs of most of you guys, if not all of you.

From an earlier post, I see that I will need to get an old keyboard to make a full WoB set.

On eBay there seem to be far more old Cherry boards with article numbers like G8x-yyyyLzzz-2 than G8x-yyyyHzzz-2. If I've understood this correctly, it seems lasered keycaps are far more common than doubleshots. Will I be able see or feel a significant difference between those keycaps and the ones offered in this group buy?

You can definitely feel the texture of the laser infill.
Also legends won't be as white and sharp as doubleshots, they look more like silver/grey than white.
As long as it's ABS, not pbt which some cherry boards are, you won't feel the difference of the weight and sound.

Hyperfuse was also a MUCH larger set, and had a ton of orders, I think we will be fine

Once I've collected the payment for all GH orders, I will proceed to make the payment to GMK.

I will get a payment confirmation from GMK and I will post a screenshot of the email here, in which you guys can proceed and confirm with GMK if that's legit.

Production should be within three months. However, the production timeframe will depend on their current production workload and will be longer or shorter.

I've already sent them an email asking for the latest renders and also the production timeframe for this mod pack.

I hope I've answered your question.

EDIT: just got in contact with them and they mentioned that the production time would be 8 weeks, assuming that the payment is made within the course of next month.

I imagine it's too late, but I put in an order really early morning on the 9th (like 3am), and did not receive an invoice yesterday. You're absolutely right. I totally missed it, thanks to PayPal having become super random with notifications. Sometimes you get them via mail, sometimes on the iOS app only, and sometimes you get nothing at all like in this case.

Anyway, it's paid.
