Maybe instead a custom E key that is a 3 (as in Matt3o)

hehe this is a nice idea :D

PS: my avatar was done in R3, don't know if we will replicate that

Another kit I'm evaluating.

Sigh. There you go making me buy more granite again!

Id like to see more novelty caps that are bigger than 1u. Maybe some love for the vendors? Matching 1.25u/1.5u [CTRL] and ALT keys? ZealPC logo?

You read my mind about the num pad, I thought that just yesterday, it is great. Now I have a reason to get another set.

I thought this should be the year to get my expenditure on keyboards low;  but, I am afraid that this set may change my expectations.

I dunno, I like the first mock up better  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: The original red sub-legends on the international kits did not push the main legends to the side like that. I think it looks strange. I also prefer the lower case 'f2' style - looks more mathematical.

I'm loving the Linux keys!  If for no other reason, I'd get the novelties for those.  Would you consider swapping one of the less-known novelties for 1 or 2 command line keys?

The escape legend on the Sindarin kit looks a lot more complicated now. I can't read either one, but I liked the simpler look of the first version.

The alignment of the numbers on the secondary legends doesn't match up with the sub-legends on the international numbers or with the numpad sub legends (7,8,9) - making them incompatible  :(  I think they just look really weird and don't fit style wise with any of the other sub-legend keys from any of the previous rounds.

Apart from that  :thumb:

I like the idea of the secondary legends keys, but it feels like half of the keys are unusuable if you buy the international kit (as number keys differ quite a bit), there's no way that the secondary legend kit can be split to a arrow key kit and a number kit?

@dorf, if you meant the ISO key, the DCS fits the DSA nicely, but I do not know if a mold for an ISO Enter key in DSA profile is available, I don't think so, at this stage I think the amount of DSA caps sold so far, justifies the manufacturing of a new mold, but that is entirely an SP call.

Yes, I know. I'm typing on it. But it would be nice with a spherical ISO enter instead of cylindrical.

I am definitely in (again). My wish list of changes to the in the RGB(Y) kit would be to also have a yellow HJKL (my personal WASD), along with a 1.75u Control. On that last point, I think it would be cool to have a 1.75u novelty key (maybe differently-colored too?), since many of us re-map the Capslock, and often to different things. I would love for it to be the R3 matt3o robot or even the word "GRANITE" (can't think of a good icon equivalent). Maybe I'm crazy...

I'm evaluating adding another colored set, they are pretty expensive though, especially with bigger keys. Red 1.75 control is indeed a nice idea. Problem being that each new kit needs to be icon AND text.

Anyways, I think it would be better if some of the secondary legends (for example, the numpad) were separated into smaller child deals.

Some times you have to buy a large set just to get a few keys; therefore, it may be great to split the specialty sets in smaller sub-sets, cost-wise; however, I understand that vendors want to go the opposite direction, selling larger sets for the sake of scale economy and to get more sales.

Agreed about breaking numpad into a different deal or getting rid of it entirely. But that is a personal thing.

How does one become so interested in a thing like keyboards? When you realize you use a keyboard more than any other tool in your life.

It sucks for ergodox users who want the red escape key to have to buy the text mods set, I personally liked the separate kit last time.

Will there be any changes to the Ergodoxian kit?  Have you given any thought about rotating the legends 90 degrees on the = and - keys?

As an addition to the blank pack or extra homing kit, can you add a color matched home row key with a homing bump?

it's not a vendor thing, it's that smaller kits don't tip. The only way to have "weird" kits to reach the MOQ is to group them. Everybody pay a little more but everybody get what they want (as opposed to everybody pay less and get nothing).

These kits are pretty cool, but I'm going to have to choose my favorites.  :( When will we get info on pricing?

I believe the group buy should start this Friday, but it also depends on SP.

Does the common kit come with a 6.25 spacebar? It looks like it does, but I see that's for sale separately.

This is the eternal Granite question :D YES! The 6.25u spacebar is additional. The base kit already includes one.

It sucks for ergodox users who want the red escape key to have to buy the text mods set, I personally liked the separate kit last time.

Still working on the ergodox kit.... but don't you need the text mods anyway? (for arrows, ins, end, pgup/dn, etc...)

I'm getting basically no feedback for the ergodox, so far it's just you who chimed in... so I guess it's okay as it is. No offence, but of course I can't change it every time one person asks.

I know, I'm sorry about that, but French layout has like 15 unique keys that are not needed anywhere else. At least the other layouts share a key or two at least.
