This is a short update on KAT Love.
As you may know Keyreative is not in a great place right now with regards to production. I am not as hopeful as I was before on their prospects, so we have decided to postpone KAT Love for the time being as we search for a new keycap manufacturer. The set will still run but we would like to finalize the new manufacturer and update kitting before announcing anything further.

Kits and Board Renders


Kits
We are looking to offer 4 base kits with this set, the primary purpose for this being to create kitting that is beginner friendly and provides a simplified purchasing experience.
We will still be offering standard KAT kitting which allows you to mix and match kits to get what you want most.
Each base kit supports supports UK ISO, Ergo, and a number of modifier options for 60%-TKL (including F13); 1 base kit and 1 set of alphas should cover 2 board a 60/65 and a tkl.

For this set I chose not to use the standard KAT font, The fonts being used are Roboto Medium, and the sublegends and Japanese use Noto Sans JP Medium

    Looking to see what kits are offered.

    I prefer a dual tone keyset and the current offering of base sets don't have enough contrast to me. It's too white or too dark, but if I can mix and match with black modifiers and white alphas I'd be interested.

    No worries. I wanted to offer simple base kits for people that weren't interested in mixing and matching and then standard KAT kitting for those that were, and i hid them since it would have taken up a lot of space to show them all regularly

    Would you think that french support could be added? would make for a decent gift if so. Else, well, will need to see what kind of money i have when it goes into group buy, if i can i would be in for a set for me :)

    I am not sure at this time if I will be adding French kits, we have requested initial quotes so hopefully I can provide a better idea of the pricing soon. Thank you for the interest!

    Hey Everyone sorry for the lack of updates. We have received the first round of samples and a second round has been requested. The colours are slightly off and hopefully this will be corrected and where we want them for production and gb with the second round. The second round of samples will also feature proper legend placements so please treat these as only samples for color matching.     Yes absolutely! The goal is to offer 4 base kits to make purchasing easier for those that do not wish to mix and match, while offering standard kat kitting as well. So you can buy english mods with jp alphas if that is what you are interested in.

    They goal will be to try and match to the pantone chips we are using for the set so that will be the best reference of what the keyset will look like

    We have a date we are considering for the gb but i dont feel comfortable announcing anything until the samples are at least on the way to us. And currently we are waiting for an update from keyreative regarding the second set of samples

    Not death at all just been quiet for a little bit we have the second set of samples and are happy with the colors and the alignment of things we will be taking some pictures and sharing them soon, we are essentially trying to finalize everything before gb now

    This is a beautiful set! Hopefully the manu for KAT sets steps up their qc on their modifiers and 7u spacebar. It's been consistent that the mods easily come off the stab stems and the 7u just straight up not work

    Yes. Speaking for myself the experience working with keyreative has been terrible, I don't feel comfortable running this project with them any longer, I do not want to take peoples money and be in a situation like other sets that have run prior are in currently.
