I'm extremely happy to say that GMK Electric is finally in group buy! The IC for this set was posted in July of 2017, meaning there were years where I thought this set would never see the light of day. Thank you to everybody in the community who encouraged me to finish what I started. Since I founded my own vendor, Vala Supply, I did more than I ever thought I could for Electric! A direct fulfillled resin artisan, matching coiled cable, and the first ever custom Vala switch. Can't wait to see Electric on everybody's boards ;)

Just wanted to say that everything is guaranteed to hit MOQ, except for potentially the Asero Artisans and the Colevrak kit.

All other kits including NordeUK & Extension will be made, as will the deskmats, switch, cable, and Flux Capacitor.

If you have friends who use Colemak or Dvorak please let them know this set exists so we don't have to cancel Colevrak either :')

Me too, but sales are struggling. If you want the Asero, don't hesitate to get it because it might not hit MOQ; we will refund the full cost if it is cancelled. Realistically, we only need about 40 units to sell globally and Vala Supply will buy out the rest, so I'm still hopeful they will be made!

Apologies but I don't plan on sharing the Pantone code publicly, we may make some adjustments to the final color to better match the renders/vision as opposed to the direct Pantone.

All kits & SKUs will be made except for Colevrak. Final numbers will be in soon (tm). Waiting on all vendor extras, but it is looking like we will hit 1000 MOQ on base!

I'm super sad about this. I followed this very closely in 2017 and gave up hope of this ever coming to fruition. I took a break from KBs and now coming back to see that the GB was just a few months ago almost 4 years later.  :(

Are there any more future group buys planned for this?

As customary, vendors have picked up extras. You can get this set when it comes out, although paying that 'extra'.

I believe Prototypist has had them in stock for a while now.  But you're right, the US is still waiting.  I think I'm going to end up buying it just because I love those colors even though I have a ton of gray and black keycaps :)

arent these all stock colors though? maybe the teal is custom, i forgot. but the greys are N9 and 2B iirc, not too difficult to imagine the irl color since a lot of sets use these common stock greys.

It looks like AlphaKeys, Vala Supply, and CandyKeys haven't shipped yet but are currently taking pre-orders for extra kits they will have after shipping.

Whereas proto[Typist], zFrontier, and SwitchKeys are selling extras now, so have presumably already shipped.

Port delays could conceivably push it back weeks.  Hard to know with Vala’s idea of communication.

I’d order more of switches they have on sale but I’d just rather not have to deal w chargebacks.

We are deep into the fulfillment for ePBT Dreamscape currently and are trying to stay on top of that plus all other daily operations such as in stock fulfillment, customer service, project management, and marketing.

Please understand that through coincidence, many sets that were ran as group buys at different times lined up and shipped to us at the exact same time, causing intense fulfillment strain. For example, GMK sped up production so fast this year that we received a shipment of 4 GMK sets at once on one occasion, and 3 sets at once on another, regardless of the fact that their group buys ran months apart.

As much as I would love to hire 10 people to bang out everything within a few weeks, that is simply untenable for us at the moment. We are bringing in as much part-time help as we can already to help us get through this period as quickly as possible, but please keep in mind we only have 2 full time fulfillment staff who are also responsible for other logistical duties such as receiving, setting up, and moving shipments, etc.

Altogether, we have received and will receive around 9,000 orders worth of goods within only the last few months of this year, across many different projects. Because of this we needed to stagger the planned fulfillment schedule quite considerably, and as such have products that will take a good amount of time to start fulfillment even after we receive them. We tried to balance the original GB running dates against the number of orders in a favorable way to come up with a rough schedule for all of the sets we have both on hand and in transit. This schedule is reflected in the updates for each project and once we approach those dates, fulfillment emails will be sent as usual with more concrete windows to expect your order.

Please know that you will receive your order as soon as we can get it to you, and no orders will be left unfulfilled.
There are no cataclysmic issues at Vala Supply, we just can't ship out this much stuff as fast as we wish we could. We acknowledge that we haven't been nearly as transparent about that as we should have been.
The culmination of COVID delays has led to this regrettable situation where many projects ended up finishing around the same time.

Everybody at Vala Supply greatly appreciates your patience and understanding here. We are just as excited as everyone else to move past the days of too many group buys, and hate having to push things even further back due to do these unforeseen circumstances. Finally, I apologize for not keeping everyone up to speed with all of this until now; I know radio silence can be scary, especially with what the hobby has been facing recently. I hope that these updates can help alleviate that stress and give a more clear path forward.

They've had some pretty extreme fire sales over the past couple months, a la MKUltra. I don't think manpower is the only issue they've got going on.

obviously a company doesn't make money shipping **** out that was paid for three years ago. it's good that they're this transparent and as long as people get their stuff, the wait can be manageable. some of these gbs sold exceptionally that it would understandably take weeks to pack up and ship those out.

Hi, I bought my set from ZionStudio. Ever since 27th Oct, they say its OTW to Zion CN Warehouse. 3 Months later, still no update, whereas other Vendors are already selling their extras. Any information regarding this will help greatly. Thank you.
