I see, thank you I don't have/use Insta so I don't generally know what happens there, but it's good to know that the mat samples were approved Since I am in the EU, I ordered the mat from Mykeyboard, so I can expect them to be arriving in about a month or two (or at least be on the lookout for a discord ping there). That's fine, nice to hear that all is slowly but surely working out as intended

Mats are completed and shipping to vendors according to Zion Studio, the vendor in charge of mats. Kono elected to produce their own mats

I don't know if it is funny, but I find it remarkable that a keycap set titled Axolotls is taking this absurdly long to move forward (I am completely aware that none of those delays are TyPo.mk's fault), it's almost as if, just like for the axolotl, time has lost some of its meaning
Still, it's great that the mats are completed and to be expected at the vendors soonish

Going off the photo, I feel that the legend color is still more saturated than renders but at this point I don't know if its different enough to warrant delaying the set even further and they may be as good as its going to get. I'll wait to see it with my own eyes before passing judgement

These samples are approved.
I think all the cap colors are PERFECT, the legend color is certainly more saturated than the renders and the chosen Pantone. I’m told the legend color was matched as closely to 217u as epbt can get so we’re going to move into production.

Keycap colors look great! Shame about the legends...I'm not unhappy with how the final product will turn out (based on your photos) but EPBT's entire sampling process seems totally ridiculous. Looking forward to having fun with all the cute accent colors and novelties when this eventually ships though!

I asked about potentially another try at this color and to confirm they were matching 217U  and I’ve been told it’s as close as they can get so not really much else I can do. I told them it was too dark in the previous round of samples (7 months ago) and it’s maybe 1% lighter this time. I guess whatever method epbt is using now makes it difficult to hit these pastels with dyesub.

I will say in daylight the alpha legends look softer pink (less red hued) than the factory photo above but I’m struggling to capture it with my camera (I only have a phone camera atm)
