You stated that matching (and tested) PCBs are the kbd67 rev 2 and the cannonkeys instant65 and that they share the same footprint. These two boards seem to have the usb port more recessed than what is shown for your PCB. Yours looks more similar to the kbd67 mkii pcb.
I'm trying to find out if your PCB might fit in a kbd67mkii where according to kbdfans a kbd67 rev2 or dz65 does not fit - and I think that is because the USB port needs to be more exposed.
Any thoughts on that point?

Will be doing an unusual build with the LFKeyboards SMK65 PCB and SMK 2nd Gen monterey switches.
Looking forward to getting the plate file through so i can work on some CF and FR4 plates.
Might have to do a KBD67 MKII PCB half plate flex build too!

What is the weight of the board? Thanks.The weight of the keeb is ~ 1.5 kg for the aluminum kit and ~ 1.7 kg for the brass kit
regarding the mounting method, does it support / have you tried small oring between the plate and case? does that makes sense to transmit less vibration to the case and change the sound of typing?Yes we tried to put some orings between the plate and the case, and it slightly improves the already excellent feeling and sound of our Pizza65 ;D
Hey so I want to use this board for a build but I wanna use hotswap. I believe you said the Instant65 and kb67 pcbs both work but I want to confirm. Also, screw in stabs work for this right? Im assuming they do but im making sure so I don't seem like an idiot.Yes, both the pcb you have mentioned are compatible with our Pizza65, same thing for the screw in stabs ;D
also curious about the tolerance on the top mount. would you have enough space to burger mount with some o-ring gaskets between screw/plate and plate/top case?It depends on how thick the orings are, from the plate to the bottom of the case there is 1 mm where the screw head is located, you can try to add 2 orings but I don't think you will have any further improvements compared to putting only 1 :thumb:

I've seen your packaging prototype on IG (my insta is oliversphotoblog) and I've some thoughts on it :
- In the inside of the top part you could add en engraving in black (bold and normal) italic with italian font such as "Mechanical typing since 2020" sitting on some switches and keycaps sketchs
- I would replace the pizza picture with a dualchrome red and green sketch of a pizza
What do you think ?

Hi, sorry for the noob question but, does the plate support plate mounted switches? And if I used mil max sockets to convert the pcb what holds the pcb in place?Hi, yes the Pizza65 supports plate mount switches. MillMax sockets have an internal mechanism that looks like a spring and holds the switches quite tightly so the PCB don't fall off :D

We are speeding up the orders preparation starting right now so when we will receive the quality checked parts in a few days everything will be ready to be despatched in the fastest way.
We are very sorry, our first project seemed so close to go as expected and this is a big disappointment for us. We planned some delay from the beginning to try to bring you the preorders even before but COVID-19 and this kind of last minute shipment issues didn’t help. We ask you to hang tight just a few extra days.

Don't sweat it, it is fascinating to me that you managed such a short time scale from pre-orders to delivery I was prepared for month long delays. If you deliver even a month late you are still faster than 99% of group buys.
On another note how do we know if we are into the pre-orders batch?

Hi I have a question and its a complicated one, just got a notification from ups saying import charges are due on the delivery however I have checked the invoice and it shows the taxes being paid at the time of purchase (based in the UK), however not sure what supposed to happen now as I have paid vat/tax twice on the same product, I know that mykeyboard on purchases last year have been refunding the tax on the initial purchase (I presume they are doing a tax rebate?) and then Im just paying the vat/import duty when it comes into the country.
Have you seen anyone else with this issue yet?, I obviously dont want to pay tax twice as with both tax amounts it comes in at around 140 euros which raises the cost of the keyboard alot.
I going to ring the tax office tomorrow and find out how this should be handled but I think they are going to say the tax charged at the point of sale is the one that needs refunding.
I’ve checked with HMRC because the item is over £135 there shouldn’t have been vat charged at the point of sale. Obviously we paid for it before 1st January so the seller charged VAT as this is the normal thing to do while in the EU.
According to HMRC it is up to the seller to refund VAT charged.
