[IC] ALPS and Hi-Tek 725 Deskmats
« on: Mon, 18 May 2020, 16:53:10 »
Hello everyone!

I'm here to present to you my deskmats with ALPS SKCL / SKCMシリーズ and Hi-Tek 725 Series aka 'Space Invader' switches.
My idea was to compile all the variations of these switches in one place.
I've decided to go with 700x400x4mm size. I've already ordered one and it should arrive before the end of this week.

I'm really into the overall idea, but it's kind of a shame to have the graphic buried under your board while in use. Would be kinda neat to have each switch type as a border along the sides. You can space them if there aren't enough switches to cover the entire border. If you absolutely have to fill something in the center, you could just throw in the brand names "Alps" and "Hi-Tek" respectively. Will probably cop an Alps one either way. interested in both versions.
For the SKCM/SKCL version, I prefer to have bottom-out force instead of the actuation force if possible.

I'm afraid it will be very difficult for me. I had to enlist support from several people for these actuation forces.

I thought the same thing and then googled it... https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20339&start=

Now these could just be a clone but the PCB is alps and the switches look like alps so...could be a rare switch like the big ol' brown alps found on a board once. (square stem instead of rectagular, double size basically)

Good stuff, but the variants name of Hi-tek is wrong.
I collected all of them(including the variants not on internet or wiki). I named the variants of them on deskthority in 2016.
The truth is they just took my "eyes" variants to sort it. They should rename them to two laugh eyes, new two eyes, one eye, two big eyes...
