Anyone else love Taskmaster?

I really think you could bring a lot of British panel shows over to the US successfully

Def worse than the "Lost in Space" suits from the previous year.

"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Rewatching White Collar for maybe the 5th time, but with the gf this time.
I cycle between Psych / Burn Notice / White Collar every year or so. Tried Dexter, Breaking bad, etc, not really a fan

I had a feeling this is going to be the feeling when I watch new episodes - so are they so... pointless?
You don't feel that good old vibe watching it?
To be honest, they way they finished the series, I knew it won't be a point re-animating it in the future.

The series had dawdled on for a few seasons to long anyway, although there were interesting moments in the later seasons.

The last season of The Expanse is starting soon...

I had read the first book when it came but did not think much about it then so I didn't start watching the series. That was a mistake.
A few weeks ago, I casually watched a couple clips on Youtube ... and they got me interested. Started watching it: absolutely loved it and binge-watched everything.

Finally watched Cowboy Bebop up to ep 6 - I personally have separated it from the Anime and love the live action version for what it is.  I do think they should have at least done a second season to balance it out for the kinks that do exist and think this should not be compared to the anime as no adaptation can live up to that at all.

The Expanse.

It's filmed for teenagers and there's D I V E R S I T Y all over the place, but the show is so addictive.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Witcher s02, I am actually enjoying it more than the first season I think. A bit politic heavy, but so is the game.

Finished it, and I played all 3 games and have no idea who those B-Plot Elves were supposed to be. I super didn't care about their story at all once Yennefer separated from them, who are you and why are you so boring?

They really stepped up the special effects this season, everything looked great. Amazing sets too. Geralt does tend to stand out since he is so much better looking than every other actor in the show. He's distractedly good looking in this world that's supposed to be worn and weary.

What an over-the-top ridiculously bonkers movie from start to finish. You think you've just seen one of the craziest action sequences you've ever witnessed, then the very next scene tops it, and it's that pace for like 2 hours. The ending is inordinately extravagant in all its fiery insanity. It's a good.

The 80s/90s was the golden age of HKcinema,  it's impossible to recreate due to modern safety standards.

Jacky Chan and Sammo Hung defined the era with their practical stunts.

Just finished "Counterpart"

It was quite dark (both literally and and figuratively) and difficult to watch, but they wove an interesting story. I didn't particularly like the end but it did leave a back door open for more.

Y'all watch Eternals...  ??

mmmmm........ Solid B-Minus....

The director is not suited for directing this type of movie, she has no vision for exciting action sequences.  Much like the disjointed action sequences of WonderWoman films.

The general audience complaints about the "plot"..

This is probably as good as it's going to get when we use hughmahn intellect to explain "celestial" politics.

The super hero market has painted itself dead into the corner for 2 decades now with ever more OP characters.

At this point, nothing they do makes sense, because their decision tree is frankly still too provincial (human).

On the extreme ends, we've got rick and morty and gurrenlagann which just employs absurdity. It's mainly comedic, but despite the lack of progression, it's at least consistent with how universal chaos appears to mankind.

Eternals took itself very seriously, yet the science was simply not deep enough to make it real.

I'd only suggest this for people who enjoy comedy and laughing. If you're looking for something cerebral with a nonsense overfed plot, this aint for you.
Honestly I believe this is the best new animated show in years. YEARS! It reminds me of the early ATHF days, and early Adult Swim when they were breaking animation and comedy boundaries. This is that feeling for the now times. Maybe the best new show of the year.

Breaking bad is one of the best shows I've seen.

Ozark is... different. Darker. It also has incredible climate, atmosphere, but totally different. unique. Plus actual colors are perfect for the story, kinda washed, most of the time scenes are dark, I always watch it at night without any lights. Jason Bateman is in his best, amazing performance, nerves of steel. Of course first seasons are the best, same here.

If you haven't seen it, I would suggest to try it. First season is great, same second.

Something like that :P

You should like it after couple of episodes. It takes some time to get used to it, same like all other shows.

If you are looking for something funny on the other hand, there is second season of Resident Alien starting in few days - you could watch season one and catch up, funny show.

Almost finished with Shameless, and I can tell already it has great rewatch/backround show value. Also rewatching Chris Lilley shows, so funny. Angry Boys is the best.

If it's the US version and you want to retain that feeling, stop watching now.
There's a point where it very much jumped the shark, I've yet to even watch the last few episodes because it's just so blah.

Can't decide if Eternals is a good movie.

Watched it TWICE now,   they tried to pack in a bit much all into one movie 2hr 30min,   perhaps this is a good jumpstart to their next phase....

Don't really like the cast, except that indian guy, asian guy and the black guy, they were at least comedic and believable,  everyone else weren't even trying, barely amounting to cardboard.

Heyzuscrist, 4 bad movies in 1 day.

355, Requin, Clean, Ice Age...

What is cinema coming to...   Every single one was terrible.

Shameless UK is basically a documentary and therefore not interesting.

Saw Jackass Forever today, totally awesome just like I knew it would be. I'll never not give those guys my money for hurting themselves for my entertainment for the past 22 years, Jackass Forever!

.... a lot of juicy cocks in that movie though, very high penis quota
