You don't like my breaking bad theme? I just wanted the correct profile keys everywhere. The layout is alright so far. Not sure if I'll like the function keys to the left, may make star craft a little more difficult, but I'm a terrible silver league player so it can't make that much of a difference. I forgot to say that the board has MX Clears on it, stickered and I imagine lubed too. I like it so far compared to ergo clears I setup on two other boards I own.

They do need to be exposed to UV light (i.e. sunlight) in order to glow, did you let it see the light of day?

I used to use the flash from a camera for fishing lures that glow. I would think it would work for caps as well.

Mine didn't glow at all at first.  It's not super powerful, but if exposed to sunlight and/or a bright flashlight (for a while, not just a few seconds), it'll glow just fine.

Mine was pretty stuck in there, had to pull it out using a key, but I thought those are easily fixed with glues/tape? I use tape most of the time.

Believe it or not a Samsung L100 compact.

I auto everything, set macro mode, try to take a little care with the lighting (mostly direct sunlight), and the results are not too bad.

Oh yeah, mine is missing one of the tabs too.  Hadn't really noticed.  It does not seem to affect the keycap stability on the keyboard.

Oh yeah, mine is missing one of the tabs too.  Hadn't really noticed.  It does not seem to affect the keycap stability on the keyboard.

Now that you mention it, both of my red esc I got recently only have 3 tabs!!

Time to invest $250 for an original Cherry Red Esc.

Those are nice, they look to be about the same color as my Alcatel set.

I hope they will match okay with the purple GMK mods :) Just need to find a spacebar...

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

I think some of the old school Escs also have 3/4 stems  ;)

I got 2 Escs, the second one is fine - got all 4 tabs.

So would this be a manufacturing defect or just a variation?

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Got my QuickFire TK with reds.

Build quality is of course, noticeably worse than the QuickFire Rapid and worse than the QuickFire Pro I had.  But the backlight is cool.  Review is here:  http://www.gnd-tech.com/content/931-Cooler-Master-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Review
