Title: Handwiring quick question(if possible just a yes or no answer would be good)

When handwiring a keyboard, does it matter which switch pin is the rows(the diodes) and which switch pin is the columns(wires) or are the two pins interchangeable.

doesn't matter whether you use the left or right. just be consistent.
