Title: TKL Alps Plates
Post by: jtPox on Fri, 11 January 2019, 12:19:09
I was looking through KPRepublic's kits and found that the XD87 DIY kit PCB supports Alps switches but the plate does not. Is there a plate that is compatible with the XD87 PCB that supports Alps? Or (this may be stupid) is it possible to sand down MX plates for it to be able to fit Alps switches?

The Phantom plate is a universal tkl plate with a pretty standard layout, but I don't know for sure that it's compatible with the XD87

The Phantom plate is compatible with the PCB from LFKeyboards and I was thinking about it (I was thinking of it as an alternative). Unfortunately, I can only find it on mechanicalkeyboards.com and not in aliexpress or similar sites. And so far, mechanicalkeyboards does not seem to ship to Singapore. I have contacted their support and is waiting for their reply.

If they don't ship to singapore, use a proxy shipping service. Works wonders
