> done! The set looks like it's GMK, but you put PBT plastic for the material. Is this an error?
Really cool theme! Akira inspired? Maybe not something I would put on my office desk, but I am sure a lot of gamers/weebs will enjoy this a lot! :D

Yes!
The set is heavily inspired by the cyberpunk genre, HUD/GUIs & 80s aesthetics, so it can make you think of many references!
Akira is definitely one of them.
What's the point of having a blurb entirely for telling us that the colors you'll be matching to won't be revealed? Unless they will be later on? I get it's for protection of the designers when color matching, but seeing a sample keycap on top of a chip when in that phase puts a lot of ease on me, and hopefully others. Forcing customers to rely on the colors matching the renders (which, according to designers, can vary because of monitors) doesn't seem like an honest and transparent way to go about it.

He can still reveal the colors when the GB has launched if he wishes to do so. Giving out that information months ahead of the GB only serves competition that seeks to copy designs.
Edit: seeing it now on a better screen I can tell that it is actually very dark blue

I wouldn't be so optimistic for fake set manus to be meticulous about matching colors precisely to the pantones/rals provided. There's enough science in color matching to get sets to where they are advertised to be, but being in the dark about what to expect other than what my uncalibrated monitor can tell me doesn't instill trust, especially when there's a blurb telling me "nah brah no reference colors 'ere".
Just a heads up, the homing/extra F and J of the Japanese Base kit are missing the sub legends!
Colors will be communicated in the GB thread and (obviously) on product pages during GB.What's the point of having a blurb entirely for telling us that the colors you'll be matching to won't be revealed? If you have doubts about how the set might look IRL, DM me, I'd be pleased to share the RAL/Pantone references with you :thumb:
Please consider black on yellow or yellow on black deskmat variant.
I like it lessShow Image(http://media.biipmk.com/gmk_awaken/GMK_Awaken-mat_03.jpg)
I will work on more variant/different designs :thumb:Can't wait! :thumb:
I'm not going to be as oblivious and ask for a Colevrak kit, but perhaps a Katakana mono-legend kit is an option?
If not, I still might just get this, because it's truly unique and the mod keys are agnostic.
Is there any chance for the numpad in the Neo Tokyo kit to get sublegends as well?
There are already 40 new molds that will be made for the set.
I don't think I'll add more new alphas/novelties to GMK Awaken. Hope you understand :)

This is beyond hype!
The one thing I don't understand is why include a separate base kit just to remove the weeb alphas? The mods scream for sublegends like nothing else. It would make more sense to have the second base kit include icon/"modern" mods. Or just get rid of it if you're worried about the second kit cannibalizing sales due to the price difference for the lack of new molds.

Absolutely. I wasn't sure if the molds existed yet or not. Curious to know the pricing for this one.
Another vote for katakana mono alphas. Would be a great set for all of us non QWERTY users. I am not sure if using the alpha molds from GMK Masterpiece is fair game here, but they do exist already.

I'm all for this as well and it would make this an easy buy for me, but I know sublegends are more popular usually.

I'd also be in for a Katakana only alpha kit.
edit: never mind biip already addressed this on the previous page
I want this to be deskmat more than the actual proposed one lolShow Image(http://media.biipmk.com/gmk_awaken/GMK_Awaken-banner.png)
Will enter, ****, ctrl etc. with patterns be double shot? They won't wear off?
Any info about EU pricing?

I really like this design. Especially if it comes with an international and iso kit.The group buy happened one year ago, you're pretty late.

Will this be delayed time and time again just like its inspiration is?
