New White Alps keypads, $19–20 shipped
« on: Fri, 29 September 2017, 15:37:19 »
Maybe this is old news, but I just found these new keypads with white Alps-style switches are available from several Asian eBay sellers. There seem to be three configurations: "17A", with English sub-legends (example listing here):

179263-0

..."18A", without no sub-legends (example listing here):

179265-1

...and "20A", with more F-keys and some Chinese sub-legends (example listing here):

179267-2

(You can see all this yourself, but I'm typing on an MK of course, so blah blah.)

They all have NumLock keys, even though the 2nd and 3rd styles have no sub-legends... I guess means they all have cursor-key layers, right?

From the photos, they seem pretty well made, with dye-sub printing, steel plates and sturdy cables:

179271-4

179273-5

179275-6

Your choice of PS/2 or USB, $17–20 shipped (USB is generally $1 than PS/2).

So if you have to enter a bunch of numbers (my sympathies, BTW) and want to do it clickily rather than mushily, here's how.

Be aware that some of the keypads I saw with "mechanical" in their titles—mostly black ones—were actually RDs (and pad-printed):
