Will the surface treatment be improved for gb units? I can see a lot of paint bubbles.

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but will this work with a cable that is USB PD capable? If I remember correctly, some usb-C devices have issues with PD compatible cables. Also, do you have any idea if another rotary knob would fit on this? - like a Rama knob for example.

Looks really nice. Any info on how much it weighs? What kind of finish is going to be used?

Love the encoder! But my only issue is that I ran out of ports on my laptop. You think there would be a Bluetooth version of this in the future?

Rotary and clicky input, programmable by VIAL. Anyone know for sure if it’s possible to program layers using tap dance? Seems likely since QMK is underlying, just looking for confirmation.

looks like the answer is: yes, tapdance and/or layers are programmable

BNR1 UPDATE (16th June,2021)

We have shipped BNR1 to all of our vendors and orders received at our platform.

We have received few complaints regarding scratches on the knob. The cause of damage was, BNR1 wasn't held too tight inside packaging so that it doesn't move around. We were too late to figure out this issue. All of our products were completely checked and then packed. We will make sure this doesn't happen again.

No need to worry, we are shipping replacements. Only some orders are facing this issue and many of them have received the perfect product.

If you found any issue in your order, just drop a mail at service@binepad.com we will serve at our priority.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

It is reprogrammable with Vial (see https://www.binepad.com/bnr1-programing-guide). The default programming is volume up/down and mute on press.

I get that you can use Vial - but that doesn't offer the level of flexibility that qmk does, and that I am looking for. This was advertised as qmk compatible, was hoping there would be a repo to fork.

I'm trying to use Vial to configure "tap dance" based macros on the BNR1 (i.e. use the button to do multiple things depending on how many times it's pressed). But the tap dance tab is empty on the latest version of Vial. What's gone wrong?

edit. the PRODUCT_ID in config.h and the via json is correct for the BN003. via is just missing the json for the BNR1. I am not sure why via is defaulting to the BN003 if the product ID is not in the via repo for the BNR1.
Regardless I had to locally fix a quite a few things from the git, to get qmk to compile for this device.

Also, windows 11 borked my driver stack for atmel devices.
