God I'm so excited for this guy. Heavy, 66%, Gasket mount... I just hope that since the PCB will be from clueboard, that getting extras won't be hard. USB-C or Mini, do you think?
USB C, this is customized version pcb done by clueboard. Because I have 3 LEDs here.

I think I will try a 6u space bar with this board for the first time. The symmetry of the bottom row is amazing.

Yup that’s why I want to put this 6u spacebar here, also kbdfans has 6u wire, I will ask some for V66 GB.

Is gasket mount better for a particular switch style? I want to pickup either a top mount or gasket mount board, but I haven’t owned either (only owned pcb-to-tray-mount boards so far). I’ll be building w zealios.

Win me over! ;)

Thanks

I think the gasket stands out with linears, not sure about tactiles. Could have a great effect to it but I can't speak on gasket's behalf.

I would actually argue the opposite, conventional wisdom is that plates with more flex are better for tactile (like acrylic, fr4) while stiffer plates are better for linear (aluminum, brass, SS). This is because a bit of flex compliments the feeling of a tactile switch, whereas linears feel the most 'clean' when on a nice solid plate.

Since gasket mount introduces another level of flex/bounce (for lack of better words), conventional wisdom would probably side with tactiles working better on gasket mount.

But keep in mind that none of the above is universally relevant, and is always very subjective. For example, if you love to bottom out your switches, you don't want a SS plate because its way too rigid and will just hurt your fingers- therefore a bit of flex introduced by the gasket mounting could be welcome. But if you type lightly and never bottom out, you might want a more solid build.

And everything above this line is pretty much BS cause you like what you like. Try everything

That last line pretty much sums it up. This entire hobby is about personal preference so everything is subjective.

YASSSS!!! it is subjective.

i bottom out linear switches (light linears) and the brass doesn't feel so great for me

Ugh I love this. It's like a Norbafoce but for a MX 66% which is the superior layout IMO. can't wait to pick one of these up. Just not sure on what color yet.

Is the white case color going to be possible that is shown in the renders? It's beautiful!
I have heard that a white finish is fairly tough to achieve.
