This may be a dumb question but how do the relegendable keycaps work? Do I need to purchase special tiles that fit in there... are people just cutting out card stock and putting it in there? I'd imagine that would look pretty ghetto.

Exactly, it's a lot of keys. But also, GMK are sorting the caps I believe, which will save time and help prevent mistakes during shipping.

and if i compare with other keyset i think GMK SKIDATA+ quite cheap. you paid $145 for keyset that compatible with almost every layout of board.
lets comparing with keyset from other company, you must buy base set, numpad, isokit, adapterkit, when you sum it all, almost $150++ and the adapterkit not complete like SKIDATA+. trust me!~

yeah i think the simple way is just cutting out card stock or paper or anything and putting in there, just like in fastfood restaurant )

I think NorrisB reference is on other recent GMK buys with similar layouts and different pricing.

The relegendables are a 10.5 mm x 12.5 mm (W x H) platform with a translucent cover on top.

I'll see if I can cobble together some pics and a template for people to work with.
Should be fun for those that want to design some custom graphics.

Any suggestions as to what file to use? I don't have access to Photoshop and I was thinking of just using MS Excel.

I've already explained that they are very easy to come by, just post in the classifieds. GMK Ivan Dolch, GMK Sky Dolch, and some other sets came with these keys, and a lot of people, including myself, do not use these keys.

I've already sold my set to someone on classifieds, otherwise I would just sell you it. Just make a post and you'll come across those keys in no time.

Will try the classifieds later for those elusive N9 blanks. Thanks for the heads up. But there's absolutely no alternative for the orange set out there .

Yeah, I guess a lot of people will not want to sell caps that came as a part of a set, that will complicate selling, etc. I also live 'overseas', and getting those can be relatively very expensive. So, I'm still hoping for maybe some sort of adhoc arrangement to get those elusive caps.

Bolding this so people can see it: I will make an exception for Relegendables starting from now, and allow anyone who has a Base Set eligibility to add a Relegendables Set (or multiple) to their order.

That said, Zeal and I wouldn't be able to implement it on the site smoothly, so this will have to be a manual process, to add a RL set to your order (with existing Base Set), please do the following:
PM Zeal or me with your 1) Order Number, 2) Quantity of RL sets to add. This should be enough to change your order and add a set. Hope we can get more sets in like this.

Great idea, I've been considering this ever since it has been brought up. The point is to not hurt the Colour Pack, but at this point, I don't think it would hurt it too much, as there is way more value in picking up the Colour Pack over the Relegendables Set.

Honestly, spacebars aren't available as a standalone in order to protect their parent sets, hope this is understandable.



Please send me a PM to add a RL set to your order! It's VERY rare to see this set, and I hope to see more people on board. Sometimes it's very difficult to visualize what they look like, since they've never been made before with Orange top caps, but it will look very vibrant and fresh on your keyboards, imagine this but with Orange top caps (Clear ones are also included, so you have the choice). The addition of sideprinted F-row legends from GMK on the caps will add to the authenticity of it being the same as the OG Skidata.

They will be the same as the F5 to F8 keys, but with colour-matched SKIDATA+ orange.


Also, will have more details to reveal about the KatzenKinder Capworks SKIDATA+ caps very soon! They're looking very, very good.
