Do you know what the plan is with Zeal and how much he is ordering?

Zeal's involvement in the project is limited to general support, consultation, and providing a streamlined and proven platform for payment collection, all out of generosity and support for the community, at no profits or cuts. He is da man, and SKIDATA+ wouldn't be possible without his support, as well as many other supporting members of our community.

Aside from ZealPC, this has been a fully community-funded and community-run GB.

To answer your question, I really hope (pretty sure) he would order at least a set for himself.

It's being shipped out of the US, as mentioned in the OP. This is crucial for keeping the prices low, otherwise we're looking at an extra 20% import taxes on the current pricing.

Very understandable, as I have a lot of GMK sets myself, and can't get myself to part with them. They are all on rotation and it's nice to have the options. That said, Skidata has been a dream of mine, especially with the Reverse-Skidata (Grey on Orange) mods, and the Blue accent keys to really mix it up for different combinations.

Regardless, you have about 2 more hours to join, if you ever consider changing your mind!

It was honestly the blue accent keys that sold me. Those look so pretty with the rest of the set.

I'm glad you like it! At first, I only designed it to have Grey on Orange keys in a Reverse-Skidata Mod Pack, then I woke up one day, and decided to throw something different into the mix.

Really glad that people are liking it. It was more of a gamble than anything else. I really look forward to seeing them as well.

Unfortunately we don't have enough to reach those bonus drops, but we have a strong number beyond 250 MOQ for everything except Relegendables.

That's a shame. As an ISO user, I love how it's all bundled, but the price for unnecessary keys probably killed this for some ansi tkl users. Would have loved to pick up a legend pack if I had any funds left.

Also, nice how color scheme matches GH default layout.

Honestly, it's already amazing that we have reached MOQ in the first place, given how grim things were looking at first, but I completely understand the reluctance of some people to obtain a super ambitious/complete/ultimate set haha.

I'm almost certain that there will be people who have missed the train, and will be wanting to pick up another set, once they see how the keys turn out after it's been produced.

But hey, we're still going to have it made! This is still very exciting.

Well that's a bummer, I know you were looking forward to hitting that mark and unlocking the next tier to make this the ultimate set, but still this is the most complete set I've ever seen. Exactly! Just happy that all the sets have made it. It's not that easily achievable in today's market.

What's left is that photokeqs Classic (<MOQ) and even more so your Skidata had the best key selection available to date. I really hope there will be more GMK sales like that which will make the cut at some point in the future.

I also hope to see more GMK (in good colourways) in the future! I'm quite good friends with photato, and honestly quite sad that his Classic Beige didn't make it.

I've still got atleast one more GB in me, and already have ideas on a very classic colourway that hasn't been run yet.

That said, will be taking good care of this one first, then we'll see how it goes after SKIDATA+ has been shipped out.

I'll be flying to the US to ship these myself, so have no worries.

Also, I might as well say it for the record, my plane ticket and trip costs are NOT reflected in the pricing... it's on me.

If it's a project I'm running, you can be sure that I'll be doing my best to ensure that everything is done properly and smoothly.

MD did not do the sorting for GMK. They simply fed the the sorted sets through their shipping fulfillment warehouse.

When a commercial for-profit entity like Massdrop runs a group buy, they only care about the profits, and will not be doing their best to ensure things are done properly, such as packing and whatever. This is why I would never put something I care about through a commercial entity unless there's some sort of guarantee that they are willing to make the extra effort to make sure things are done right.

SKIDATA+ has been a labour of passion, and while I respect commercial entities for their ability to market, reach mass audiences on a whole different scale of operations, I would probably be uncomfortable in handing over SKIDATA+ to one of them.

It is only in some community-run group buys where the organizers will be more careful and care more about how things are done, to make sure things are produced properly, and do not get damaged in the process.

We will not be using trays, as that adds to the cost, and the keycaps will still risk getting damaged in transit.

For extras like Orange and Grey spacebars, I will just add them to the already pre-sorted bags.
