Even with the door and window wide open, fans going, the computer and lights off - even after all that my bedroom is STILL 6-10 degrees hotter than any other room in the apartment. I legitimately do not understand why this is happening, it's not even in the sun, it's totally shaded. WHY IS THIS THE HOTTEST ROOM IN THE APARTMENT?  :'(

**** off that's BOILING! Frankly, anything above the low 70s is too hot. I believe around 67 degrees to be optimal.

Agreed - unbearable!  Around 60 is best for thinking/doing or 67 for relaxing, any more than that it's just hot.

For once I agree with noisy. Above 79F is too much.

And this is coming from me, a dude that has lived in Florida for most of hist life--the swampy section of florida, not the part of Florida that tourists use to flock to.

Higher than 72F and I suffer, but where I live, 50% humidity is a DRY day... I live off the river in Tennessee. Practically swamp lands.

I can't imagine opening a window at all in the summer... that is basically a death sentence xD Seal the house and crank the ac :P

The problem is, when the humidity is this high, sweating doesn't work, and the heat literally kills.

We have upstairs and downstairs thermostats at the house.

I generally keep the downstairs AC at 74F/23C and the upstairs AC at 76F/24C in the summer, and the downstairs heater at 66F/19C and the upstairs heater at 70F/20C in the winter.

It is funny how those indoor summer temperatures would be perceived as sweltering in the winter, and those winter temperatures perceived as frigid in the summer.

Outdoor temperatures can deviate from the above by at least 5F/3C and still be entirely comfortable, and actually I am quite happy down to about 50F/10C outside in the winter.

"It turns out that for a decade, whenever Trump wanted to get a loan, or make a deal, he would inflate the value of his real estate. For instance, suggesting that his 11,000-square foot penthouse was a 30,000-square foot penthouse.
And the attorney general of New York knew that Trump's property values were inflated because when it came time to pay taxes, Trump undervalued the very same properties.
It was all part of a very sophisticated real estate practice known as “lying.”

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

OK well today marks day 7 of no weed and no booze for me. That's the upside.

The downside is I haven't slept in about 4 days, I had a seizure last night, and right now I am on the verge of a manic episode.
I'm wired out of my ****ing skull right now and cannot sleep. I'm just pacing around the apartment chainsmoking and yelling like a weirdo. Get sober they said. It will help clear your head and get you motivated they said. FUUUUUCK this sucks. Especially when you thought you've conquered your brains shortcomings.

My bedroom has been 27°C (80°F) all day because I have not opened the window. Outdoors it has risen from 23°C to 28°C during the day and the next week is expected to be over 30°C.

I moved to South Florida once for a job/gf, but only stayed there ~1.5 years. Those four hour drives to see family around the holidays were a bit much.

Jog, lift weights (tires you). Eat carbs (serotonin rush, tires you).
Does not have to be much of either.

I already went for a long walk at like 5 am, took a hot shower, and took some melatonin. Lay down in bed and my bloodshot eyes pop open like a cartoon character.

Probably didn't. It was the gesture and his intention that did it. The *snap* was just for flashy bravado.

You gotta go to bed early, and wake up early..

Realign the circadian rhythm.

Sleep with your shades open 100% and Face the window in bed so the Light hits your eyes square in the morning.

This is the best way to reset your sleep clock.

Well, umm.... Noisy.. I am not imparting whether or not buying more at this point is a good idea.

HOWEVER, I do think you're being very Rash and Reactive, like a gambler, rather than an Investor.

The procedure when (Something happens),  good or bad,  is to step back,  Analyze,  Look at OTHER options (for your money),  Then finally deciding if doubling down is the right course to take.

So, this isn't a criticism of your Choice,  this is merely to point out that you may not be taking enough to think, and are impulsively //emotionally going along with the swing..
