It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. No need to tiptoe in here.  This thread requires monthly bumping.   :))

It's my understanding that CtrlAlt is planning an upcoming keyset sale specifically to fund the remaining/outstanding orders, including Toxic.  So if nothing else, at least there's a plan.

It came up in an interest check for (new) GMK Penumbra that's now canceled/closed.  Bunny wasn't ready to make an announcement at the time but their plans were clear.

Long story short, TFR ripped everyone off, and it's lucky (and due to the hard work of bunny and others) that any keycaps got it back. Bunny is making new stuff out of pocket/with profits from GBs using Ctrl-Alt sets run by other people (Slowly, it's a long expensive process and TFR ****ed up 3 of the 5 group buys he SHOULD have been helping with, so other group buys are getting cleaned up first) including finding a place to make toxic cables for delivery. They haven't been made yet because Toxic isn't the first GB to be un****ed.

I love it. I'm hoping after Bunny manages to un**** the whole ordeal there'll be future run(s), this is great.

If they run the colorway again it would probably not be through SP.  Bunny has been pretty vocal about his dislike of SP.  I would expect either JTK or GMK.

Plus DCS is probably SP's weakest product.  It's pretty thin compared to their other profiles.

I'm fairly new to all this and am very accepting of all the different profiles (I've tried most at this point) - DCS and SP's involvement is not a deal breaker for me at all, I'd be fine with GMK and JTK, I just really love the colourway (and novelties)! I agree that DCS is SP's worst product.

I appreciate you letting me know though, thank you, here's hoping they revisit it at some point.

(Not part of Ctrlalt) The site got switched almost a year ago older orders such as these don't show on the new site as far as I understand/remember you still have the order though don't worry as said above too the cables should be close to getting something worked out currently though it seems

X-post from GMK Hyperfuse thread:

Toxic is being replaced pretty shortly, I'm currently preparing the update but the short of.it is this

Anyone with outstanding toxic will be offered a choice of having it replaced with toxic jtk( going in to production in 2 weeks once sophomore has shipped) and will be ready around 30 days from then or having their original sp set replaced which will go forward with sp early Jan

I'm just waiting on finalising the details of the sets and offerings and then the full post will be up in the toxic thread shortly

SP and JTK are two different makers. SP Toxic is DCS profile and thinner. JTK is Cherry profile and the thickness is similar to GMK.

SP and JTK are two different makers. SP Toxic is DCS profile and thinner. JTK is Cherry profile and the thickness is similar to GMK.

I'd probably go with JTK if they've worked out the bugs and the colors are the same.  Nothing against DCS but I prefer a thicker cap.

I'm out of the loop: what's the difference between SP and jtk?  Quality? Profile?

Yeah I am definitely picking up a set or two of JTK as I missed out on Toxic. I am with you though, I prefer the thicker caps.
