That blaring led is certainly different. I’d have to see it on but I’d imagine it being very glaring. Branding is a little over the top imo.
Looks quite nice overall though!

Nice OTD clone, please add the cutouts on the plate like on the FMJ while you're at it  :thumb:

(Not sarcastic btw but if you go this far in cloning the bottom at least go all the way)

Looks nice.

Same question about "peerless".
PCB specs? QMK?
Is the logo laser etched? I don't think that adds a very premium feel.
Estimated price?

I think the "meant to be different" logo is a bit ironic on an OTD replica, however I like the overall design choice with the straight edges! I also like that there is no brass insert :D Keep at it Hammer, looks like a banger [:

Binge named it Peerless.

That indicator LED is way too large, how would it work? also, shouldn't the logo say 'dare to be different'? In addition, the logo not being centered over the arrow keys would probably drive me crazy

"Peerless" is already a name for a keyboard switch. The name is also sometimes used for discussions about the switch's type of mechanism (for which there are better, but less known switches than the actual Peerless itself).

The Peerless switch is not very popular, but it does have its fans that like it a lot. The biggest complaint about the Peerless keyboards are that they use low-quality guide-shafts for stabilisers.
An actual Peerless 80% with fixed stabilisers might actually be desirable to the switch's fans.

Choosing "Peerless" to name a keyboard would therefore be a bad idea. Confusing. If you do it intentionally, then that would be a dıck move IMHO.

What OTD board are you referring to?

360c, 456gt, 356cl

Though I should clarify that I don't mean the exterior, I mean the internals, compare the bottom to the 360c:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/115722906@N08/15287037439/in/album-72157648098547719/

Lemme state again that I don't think it's a bad thing, I've wanted to get an affordable TKL with OTD mounting for a looong time now, but the FMJ is only available in China and not really affordable anyways.

The over-sized LED hole is dead-ass taken off the Matrix 8XV2.0, and the rest of the board isn't exactly different from the majority of other traditional/classic TKL designs (OTD based or not). Only the curve/radius on the base wedge transition is unique.

I think the design looks good so I don't wanna talk smack on stuff in an IC.

explanation is in spoiler.

The whole mounting system on the back piece is (can't say 1 to 1 replica cuz I dont have measurements) VERY similar to the OTD360c (is the only kb I can refer to since I haven't owned any else).  That means that the mounting for the plate and case + hole for usb cable are VERY similar. Just my take on it tho.

Just pick your own names hammer, between this and crp I'm not sure this is the way to go.

Nice design, but like the other said, no logo please. But to be fair, if you insist on having something on top, you could use "HAMMER" or "HMMR" or whatever with a nice sleek font. Like TGRs keeb or OTDs customs. But what font you choose is VERY important.

Good looking start,  Would have to agree the slogan and logo on the top is a turn off for most people.

I think most people prefer a clean aesthetic, especially on the top and you can get away with a bit more on the back or side.

Also, I would say your "H" logo and text's design doesn't translate well to the enthusiast market, sort of like how I think the dolphin text between the arrow keys and home cluster is a bit out of place personally.

Lastly, I think externally the design is clean especially that base! Good luck with the buy hope you take peoples feedback about the logo and consider the change :)

I'd drop the front logo + slogan and change the bump ons to wider, lower profile ones.

Hammer,
When I compare your GH|DT|/r/MK-wide famous 60% Hammer case to your current purpose design, your current purposed design is similar to all other designs.
I do think some unique and attractive design features of the 60% Hammer case can be implemented in this TKL design.
