That cap mashup is a little cray cray. Little too much for me, but A+ for the time and effort, as a lot was obviously put into that. Interesting variable weight choices too.

Eh at least with Topre the profile between disparate keysets does actually match unlike Alps :P

Now how do I find myself some of them Tai Hao Fame caps XD...

Huhu...

You're not wrong, haha. Though there's only two major Topre profiles unlike the dozens of profiles Alps has. Shame many of them never touched ANSI, but there's some nice JIS ones.

The FAME caps are elusive, but they pop up every now and again. Good luck haha.

My custom built JustSystem TKL collection grows! Also, that's a glossy white painted plate with a 2K urethane clear coat. It is a nice contrast against the black, red, and grey imo. :)

Finally was able to build one of my long term dream boards, a TKL WKL Realforce (84u). 55g Domes, Brushed Stainless Plate, 104ub Alphas. I finally managed to win a Realforce 89u off of Yahoo JP Auctions. I used Buyee as a proxy, and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a proxy for there. Shipping was pricy, but it was only a total of 3 days from the time the 89u arrived at their warehouse (it took about 3 days to get from the Yahoo JP seller to their warehouse as well) to the time it was delivered to me. Here's an unboxing album.

Ended up stripping it down, brushed the 86u plate as it was starting to rust, cleaned all the sliders and caps, as well as the case. Very happy with the outcome, I think the only way to go up from here is the XRF/Zooey.

Something not JustSystems related for once:

- 104UK HiPro (white) keycaps as base
- 87U PCB; this was taken from an older 55g I happened to have that had a prettier PCB mask compared to newer ones. Old models seem to have this, as shown below.
- 87U Plate, modified for the proper left control, and painted metallic red
- 86U case, but that's a little trivial
- Sony BKE Domes, dark blue variant that's the heaviest and most tactile of the original Sony domes.
- Silenced RF sliders
- Lubed housings and stabs

Not as extensive as my JustSystems 86U HiPro, but I think it's classy all the same. :) It's fun to use and admire.

Yahoo! Auctions has proven extremely fruitful recently in regard to both of these keyboards, 5 86Us since early December and 5 89Us so far this year alone. Keep hunting, good luck  :thumb:

damn didn't realise that there were that many recently. i might have to expand my search terms

the only one i noticed was this one, which i missed the end of auction for. was excited for it because i felt it would have flown under the radar because the title was REALFOCE. ended up at a pretty nice price though.
