It would just be nice for a TKL version like what Awful said though I'm still interested. I like the color of the green on white caps a lot! I kind of want to try white switches...

TKL's must sell very poorly in Asia to not offer them.

I heard the Dyesubs were a PITA for Ducky so it's odd to not go with a smaller layout.

Look how thick those PBT caps are.
Considering PBT keycaps are 50-70 bucks, this looks like a steal!
I'm kind of curious why they bothered with back lighting.

I'll definitely consider this if they have a TKL edition.

I'm not that familiar with Ducky but I'm guessing the difference between the premier series and the shine series is the PBT (premier) and back lighting + abs caps (shine)?

Man, Ducky sure is pushing a lot of new keyboards in a short amount of time!  First the tuhaojin, and now Premier!

From my understanding, the premier line of keyboards have no extra "settings" printed on the keycaps. Just beautiful clean, Thick PBT Dyesubs! Apparently the keyboards can switch between Qwerty, Dvorak and Colemak without tweaking OS-related keyboard settings.

It looks like there may be a TKL. Look at the picture with the keycap puller and the little manual you will see that the manual is for the DK9008 (08 as in 108 keys) and for the DK9087 (87 as in 87 keys, aka TKL). They normally use this to show different keyboard models. So there is hope gents!

So what makes this a "premier" keyboard?  It is only Colemac, green keycaps, and a couple of extra switches.

Or is "Premier" just marketing hype?

Also, wouldn't you need an alternative keycap set if you wanted to switch to Colemac?

I think "premier" is just the series of this keyboard. No flashy LEDs -- just a plain, good looking keyboard with thick dye-sub PBT. I think ducky was just testing the waters with the 9008G2Pro series

zero = budget

Perhaps I don't understand this question correctly. People certainly use Dvorak and Colemak instead of qwerty. Does that justify special dip switches? Maybe not, but it's a neat feature that probably wasn't too hard to add and will make some people quite happy.

You can, but it's certainly useful to be able to do it on the keyboard itself… no fiddling with settings if you plug into a new computer.

Using dvorak, but I just use OS to change layout. I think a DIP switch for colemark is more useful than dvorak.

Unless you type a lot, as a programmer, I find Red or Clear makes no differences. Some ppl might prefer Red to Clear. All are just personal pref

Ha I think most people that actually want clears to type on already has one. Keyboard hipsters don't care about clears any more. Whites are the hip thing this year.

And why do some white switches suffer from varying click to no click?

AFAIK, they are not lubed. I think that has more to do with the varying tension on the contact leaf. The black slider is more slippery than the clear sliders on blue/green. I think both together contribute to the varied clickiness of the switch.

I think Matias did the layout implementation the best - there is a button on top of the (Dvorak RD) keyboard if you want to hot swap layouts.

Well, considering it looks almost EXACTLY like the G2, we can expect similar prices. I got mine with greens for $144,

INPAD (a Taiwan distributor/partner) has Ducky Premier listed for 3090NTD for blue, brown, red and 3590NTD for green switches. No sign of whites yet, but I would imagine them to be the same price (or similar) to green.

I wonder why they can't do blue/white, blue/grey looks meh in my opinion.

Though they should really just sell the keycaps separately.
