Hi guys,
Some new I have after receiving my boards from the manufacturer for the SX60 group buy:
They provided me with a flawless prototype and advertised that as the quality for all of the boards that I would be purchasing, but in reality the insides of the keyboards are not finished to the same standards and have visible tooling marks.
The quotes I have received do not include a flawless finish on the inside of the boards. This means that there will be visible tooling marks inside of the boards
. I am working with the manufacturer to get a new quote to see how this will affect the overall pricing.
After I receive the new quote I'll provide 2 options:
1. Adjust pay to finish the inside of the board (I don't imagine this will cost more than $25 per board, but I will have to wait for the quote). I will add this cost to the shipping invoice.
2. Accept the board without the inside completely finished.
The factory will not begin production until we come to a decision as a group. I will be sending a google form link out VIA your email address you used to enter the Group Buy so you can record your response. If anyone else who is a part of the Group Buy has ideas on how this can be resolved please feel free to comment in the thread.
Thanks and I apologize for the inconvenience.
