What would a good weight of korean springs to pair up with these? 45g, 55g, 62g?

It comes down to preference. I think 62g or 55g would be a good match. 45g may be too light, they're lighter than mx brown or mx red springs.

When you guys get these, please report back if the clicking is inconsistent between switches. The bag of mx whites I have do not have uniform clicking. Some click more than others.

My race with whites is like that iirc. They all feel the same though. Some just seen to click less or more.

The default MX white spring is similar to clear or black?

Black.

There is debate whether it actually is a black spring. For now it has been confirmed that White and Greens have identical springs.

FWIW (sorry about the crappy pics):

Some length, same diameter, same number of coils, and the same wire thickness.  These are modern switches.  The vintage black springs are different and the white switch has been through at least three generations over the years.

So, one clicky, one tactile, and one linear?  But all the same spring strength?

I like White and Green switches interchangeably, but I tend to bottom out the linear Blacks.  I must be unconsciously expecting the feedback to clue me in as to switch closure.

Maybe Blacks would work better with red rubber rings...

Well, you have to be take the leaf spring into account on any tactile switch.  That is why the actuation force of the green/white is higher than the black.  Not only are you compressing the coil spring, but you are deflecting the leaf spring of the contact further outward as it rides over the little bump on the stem.  The stems of linear switches are smooth.

i am typing on an ergo white modded board right now and i can indeed confirm that there is approximately 1 in 30 switches that has a slightly different click sound. i have experienced this with both pcb and plate mounted boards it is definitely a switch issue.

the most accurate i could describe it would be, that they are different in terms of hollowness/reverb of the click, some just sound dryer than others. there are fluctuations towards both extremes, so some might get near blue sharpness and some might have their click on a very low sound level instead.

i'll have to test if my microphone is actually capable of recording this properly, if so i could post a video later should someone be interested.

The ones that are too clicky can be fixed by making sure that the slider is greased appropriately.  A tiny dab in the rail between the slider and the stem is all that is needed.  The ones that are especially quiet might have a defect.  The ones I ran across did not appear to have too much grease.  Rather they had some other problem that caused the slider and stem to bind.  They can usually be fixed with an exacto.

Basically Rapid decided to up the price on me. I'm still doing it, but at a small loss. It took a while since I tried to get a few quotes post price raise.

I'm thinking I'll like offer to test each switch and replace defects with some of my personal extras (I have plenty) for like $.02 a switch to help make up for losses.

I may have about ~60 left over, I ordered 150 and will probably just use them for an 86 key layout.
