gm, hello, I am one of the KBI admins. Since DT fell into the hands of OneCommerce and later an AI nonsense company, we are the home of the largest vintage community and the spiritual successor to DT (https://keyboard.institute)

First of all I'd just like to congratulate LightningXI on a long and drawn out plan to save these caps from ending up in the trash, where they undoubtedly would have ended up if nobody did anything - certainly when DT recently got resold again, if we didn't have possession of them they would just be gone. This was a long and drawn out process that was conducted in secret not long after a wingnut changed hands on the open market for an absurd amount of money, so there was a decent chance that we may not have ended up recovering these community assets at all if the OneCommerce guys had noticed that.

The point of this post though is mostly to thank Lightning for entrusting us with the remaining two caps. We are currently in discussions about how we can make sure that these are distributed to deserving parties that have done a lot for the hobby in a fair and democratic way, in an homage to the original DT awards. This will take time to hammer out and we'll obviously be posting more about this in coming weeks.
