Captcha
« on: Tue, 24 May 2016, 06:26:29 »
Honestly, I really find posting here quite annoying.

The user experience on mobile is bad enough but the quality of the captcha image is always so bad it takes multiple attempts every time.

Can we not use recapture or something a bit more forgiving?

I wonder if it is 10 posts that count, or 10 posts overall (given that posting in some areas of the forum don't affect your post count)?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'm not sure. My guess is that it would be tied to post count, rather than number of posts.

In any case, it goes away fairly quickly. Are you posting on mobile using your device's browser, or the Tapatalk app?

I was beginning to wonder if the captcha went away after a while as well.  Having a red-green color deficiency doesn't help deciphering the letters.

Yes, you just need to post a little more :p

Ironically, after that post, the captcha prompts went away.

At or after 10 posts, it seems.
