Not the most insane numbers I've seen, but the base kit and the spacebar kit has already hit MOQ which is great news! Hopefully we can push the numbers more in the following weeks.
I was really looking forward to Shoko! However, it's a bit uncool that you're quoting the EU prices without VAT. The real price of the base kit is 126 GBP, which is 140 EUR less a few pennies - that's one of the most expensive base kits I've seen in a while... Really sucks when you also need the "Obscure" kit (I'm offended :) ) for another 47 GBP or 52 EUR. Ouch.Some other 40's/non-standard kits have been called Obscure Kits before like 9009 R3 and 8008 did, sorry if the name is offensive to you, but I found it appropriate. And thank you for pointing out that the pricing is non-inclusive of VAT, it slipped my mind since Jae had his price listed without VAT on his website. I just included it in the pricing chart which hopefully clears things up.

The name of the board is right in the image name - it's a Fjell Pro by Mekanisk (HHKB style).
Unfortunately, it seems this board has never been available, I only found it mentioned in an old GeekHack thread "Future Mekanisk Group Buys". The colour on the render is also not real, it was chosen to match Shoko perfectly.

I skipped a week due to school and dentist, but we have hit over a 1000 base kits, less than five days left. Let's reach 100 in the Hiragana kit and 500 for the spacebar kit! Hope everyone who wants in gets in:

Crazy to think that kono didn’t want to price it at 1k or even 500 MOQ.
I bet they would’ve sold even more if priced at higher MOQ

it's mid Sept now, Kono still says production will be done in Oct, any one says otherwise?

GMK now estimates a late Q4 production completion, with about a month and a half of transit. Estimated arrival Q1 2022.

New to the hobby and just discovered this set. Any news on a release date and if their well be extras? Also, how come there are no novelties. The colors are absolutely beautiful but hard to say it's based off a character.

There were 3k extra base kits purchased by vendors, so there is a good chance on picking a set up, whenever vendors decide to sell extras.

I bet they are waiting for the after market to pop harder, so they can up their extra prices. Guaranteed they'll only put a few out as well, so it sells out quick despite higher price. Then slowly put stock in and out. Dam it, I should have just ordered from daily clack and eat the shipping fee.

I don't get the hate toward Kono, especially without having any knowledge. I agree that they should communicate better(which you could say about most of the vendors to be honest), but if the packages are stuck at shipment or at some port, what do you expect Kono to do? Also just to be clear, I am waiting my package from Kono.

If that answer is correct, then yeah, they should definitely get in line with what others are doing. That said, I feel like it might a little bit of community bias. For example regarding to prices, GMK Fuyu extras were $180 on Kono and GMK Nuclear Data extras were $185 on Omnitype, and GMK Nuclear Data has less keys. And I see similar pricing for GMK Prepress and GMK Ursa. Again, similarly NK sells all their extras for $185.
also recently kono has been doing some egregious extras pricing, from my memory they sold some Firefly leftovers for $200+ for base, and most recently GMK Yugo (http://"https://kono.store/products/gmk-yugo?variant=31103261376595") (which is a TKL kit too!) for $220. I don't want to get too off topic though

Currently in the same boat. Not yet shipped out for me and ordered mine during the preorder phase a year + ago.
