The hopefully, final sample is in. The keyboard seems to fit well and there are just some minro machining marks to be seen.

This is the grey sample but the pictures has a blue tint, i can assure you that it is 100% dark grey/slate

Yeah, I noticed the machining marks and the blue tint of the photo, but it looks like it's coming together. Seems like it's the fine details at this point and the QA.

tbh i dont think the quality control can get much better than this.

I never enter raffles to begin with, but I've never won any giveaways and the one time I entered a brocaps raffle when I was new and actually cared, I didn't make it.

So yeah. Lack of data for that question.

I don't think there will be any super noticeable machining marks.

I think the Novatouch/Masterkeys CNC case might have a very dark blue in the works for R2.  Don't know if you're interested in a TKL, but thought I would mention it.

A raffle would certainly be more fair. If it's first come first serve for extras, then that gives a bit of an unfair advantage compared to how the slots were initially sorted out.

Wished I was there for the raffle. Those that never reply probably people that make multiple accounts just to have higher chance to win the raffle. I was looking back at various $200+ keyboard housing group buys, doubt that it ever reaches 500+ users on a single group buy on FCFS.

Good question. I lost the R1 raffle and was interested in picking up extras (and of course R2), but I didn't see an email when the emails went out, so I assumed they just went to waitlist folks who were picked for the extras. Dunno, though.
