Hey, what's the mod-colored R1 \| key in the base kit for? Split backspace is already covered by the alpha-colored one. The most common split backspace setups are \|, `~ and \|, Delete. Mod-colored \| would be useful for a `~, \| setup, but I don't think that's very common at all (at least not enough to warrant including that key).

Would you consider changing one of the ISO alpha keys to avoid having a duplicate \| legend? I've been hearing complaints about these recently. You can either change the R4 key to <>, or the R3 key to #~, based on what you prefer. R4 <> is better objectively speaking (details here), but many people (mostly ISO-UK users) seem to prefer R3 #~.

This is mostly aesthetic choice to fit the theme with Nakano's colorscheme.

As a non ISO user i was not really triggered by this as the current base kit has a ISO US compat. Having a partial compat with changing one of those keys seems odd. I'd prefer to have an international kit complete instead of this trade-off situation.

Also because i had lot of questions i'm considering adding a second B in a child kit for Alice users.

Yeah, I get that, but you already have a mod-colored R1 `~ for the top right corner key, right? So what's the mod-colored R1 \| for?

With R4 <> it's still full ISO US compat (“terminal style”), just without a duplicate legend, which is why I'm suggesting it as the better option.

At first it was mainly for split backspace use but it's pretty uncommon to have also the pipe mod colored. Fixed in the base kit.

Also i've added a second B in the spacekit for alice users.

Last modification to 40 and space kit for making the best tradeoff for compatibility vs size of kits.

I can't decide it, i'm dependent on all the proxies. The best slot i had is October.

100% in for a base + novelties. Any plans for a deskmat or rama cap?

Biip will do the deskmat.

Regarding the Rama cap, i've openned a discussion with them so it's in progress but nothing confirmed yet.

Kits are finalized now so nothing will change. Regarding pricing it's currently in quote discussion. Will update when i have news.

Is there any chance of getting 2 Suzuka, and 2 Bugatti novelties? As an F1 fan I can appreciate people would want the Suzuka cap for both colourways, and I'd imagine if Bugatti is someone's favourite track they'd want it for both too.

edit: Or perhaps Suzuka replacing the Bugatti novelty?

Here it is, the collaboration with Rama on 2 caps.

Regarding artisans, some makers confirmed me their collaboration for the keyset; will announce soon.

This is a must buy for me. It's like a light alpha version of GMK Nightrunner. Nightrunner is by far my favorite set I have ever seen and I have seen almost all of the GMK sets from the last few years. This is a close second and may even be just as nice IMO on the right board. The problem with Nightrunner is it only looks good on a black board or navy if you could match it perfectly. This kit would also look great on E-white or polycarbonate. Please make sure you update here when the buy goes live. October is still a few months off and I really don't want to forget and miss this.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort to make this set a reality. I personally have no interest in racing so the theme doesn't actually matter to me but it turned out amazing either way.

Consider changing the R4 \| ISO key to R4 <> in order to avoid a duplicate \| legend on ISO boards. For example, see how GMK Boneyard and GMK ThinkCaps did it. You can read more about this kind of ISO support here.

Also consider adding a generic R3 1.25u key (e.g. Meta, Code or Fn) to the 40s kit. Staggered 40% boards use various R3 1.25u keys on the left side, not just Enter and Tab, so it'd be nice to have this option. This one key, being generic, could cover many different layouts.

Perhaps also consider reducing the number of accent/non-accent variations in the 40s kit to make it less expensive. For example, drop some of the non-accent Enters.

Can't wait to see the deskmats. I am really hoping for some that aren't super heavily themed around racing but a nice design that matches the colors. I am personally a huge fan of the Random Frank P mat and the liquid mat that matches Evil Dulch and hoping for a somewhat similar design to go with this set.

This is amazing! I wish I could get a keycap with Laguna Seca on it! Maybe it would fit the MotoGP theme better if the brake and shock were modeled after motorcycles instead of cars. Possibly a smaller brake caliper or a reservoir on the shock. Either way I can't wait.

Laguna Seca could fit only on a ISO enter IMO.

On motorcycle brakes there is more details to add and can be either too sketchy or not even possible due to GMK constraints :/ Also as i read there is couple of car folks interested in this set, which ends up as a compromise.

It's a render of how the final key will be made. How is that not valid?

Unless you're talking about it being close to other keys, whereas I think CS is talking about the legend.

IRL the mold is less bold on the arrow and the arrow is more on the left.
