Hello everyone! I'm Cora, from Texas, and I just recently began my journey into the depths of the keyboard community, and just yesterday finished building my first one! I had originally thought that I would be satisfied with just the one that I finished building, but I'm already starting to gather bits for the next one, so into the rabbit hole I go, I guess.
My first build is a simple and inexpensive, but I love it!
- Geek GK61 board, PCB + plate (black)
- Cherry MX Red switches
- Blank white + purple PBT keycaps from Amazon
I'm glad that I found this community.
Previously, I had simply thought that the only mechanical keyboards available were the ones offered by Corsair, Razer and the like, and I never really liked any of those (especially the RGB and horrible 'gamer' fonts used on them). By chance I came across a cross-post on Reddit from r/MechanicalKeyboards, opened up the subreddit and began scrolling through, and was hooked; I wanted to make my own! Looking forward to meeting a lot of cool people.
