Yea, since DrHubble said pre-orders have stopped (at least for now) then the only way to get in right now is just take someone else's order.

The only way to currently secure an order would be via takeover.
There are only a few spots remaining until we reach 100 orders so the actual group buy phase might be a little awkward due to the limited amount of newcomers.

Once the group buy launches, we'll have to collect money from everyone who has their order reserved and then redistribute the numbers of those who cannot pay.
Depending on how many empty spots there are, we may or may not expand the numbers.

We do not have a finite number yet since we are looking at two different shops.
However, the <$400 estimate that we gave out earlier seems quite realistic with one of the shops we have contacted.

Nah, most likely not. But Hubbs did post that he's still actively trying to get this done, but there were snags in getting it cost-effective here in 'Murica.
The initial GB for the numbers were to help him get the protos done here, but that the team has realized it's going to be a bit more difficult, they're still working on getting it as Murican and inexpensive as possible.

So, probably next year.

Obviously we are all disappointed in the progress of the Mira especially over the last 4 months. I have done a lot of legwork on it and I believe I can get it done but there is a reason for the recent delays and given the trend of GB leaders dropping off the face of the earth I'm relaying information about myself that I would normally keep private.The reason I haven't  been on the board lately is that my medical condition has progressed over the last 6 months to the point that I have difficulty with normal activities and I have no choice but surgery to possibly reverse or at least halt its progression. I had one surgery last Tuesday and another is scheduled for tomorrow. This will obviously limit my activities but when I get more information I will try to relay it or have a family member do it for me. Thank you for your understanding.

As far as this hobby goes, the price to reserve the initial spots is not so great a price if this doesn't end up happening, and it was initially explained that it wasn't refundable, even if the boards never got built.

Im in no rush, and I appreciate the huge amount of effort that everyone has put into this so far. I'd love a board, and I love seeing that everything is being worked on to make it happen, even though it's been a tough ride. Your health an family are of the utmost importance, we can wait if it means for you to get your health back. We all appreciate the information. There have been a lot of setbacks when it comes to this group buy, but obviously no one with a conscience could blame you for putting your health first. The commitment you've shown to getting this GB up and running is unreal, and greatly appreciated. Good luck with your surgery. And I wish you a speedy recovery from it.
