Are typing tests useful?

How many of you guys use video typing tests to determine if a keyboard sounds good to you or not? I started making a few and quickly realized how subjective they really are. Check out my video to see some of my opinions on the matter. I would highly recommend trying different headphones/speakers when listening to the typing tests.

They're a loose gauge at best. Maybe GH should fund the construction of an anechoic chamber for keyboard noise testing :)).

No, as there are too many other factors affecting how a keyboard sounds, including desk material, thickness and shape, room acoustics, even something like how thick your carpet is.

Plus they are dependent on the quality of the microphone used, and the acoustics of the room where they are recorded, which will almost certainly be different to your room.

I do enough typing no need for a test.
