Hoping these will also fix the spacebar rattle I have on my white abs unit. for some reason my white one rattles while the black one has a satisfying "thunk" to it. While appearing visually identical.

My abs spacebar is fine and not showing any shine. You can delay it another month to get 99% accuracy if you like, i won't mind

Have you tested this on any other keyboards besides than the FC660C and HHKB? I'm planning on having one included with my RF87u when I sell it, but if it doesn't make as big of a difference then I'm not 100% sure it's worth the ~2-3week wait to sell it. Also, I'm not sure if anyone has asked yet, but what's the gram weight of the PBT spacebars?

yes, it feels great on a RF

Weight is just a pinch more than abs.

I think some people ordered a lot more space bars then they have topre boards, so you could probably pick one up once they're all out.

Searching around looking for dead stock Realforce sets is a real bummer.

The best color-matching possible is absolutely worth waiting a few extra weeks for IMO, nothing to apologize for. Honestly, I'd have been upset if someone else was running it and they shipped them out at a lesser quality just to meet the arbitrary date originally set.

These space-bars are not your average space bars that you can get anywhere, it's HIS design for the much ignored Realforce and then maybe applied to any HHKB (but who truly cares about that anyway).

just to be clear. 100% color matching is practically impossible. The material is different (ABS vs PBT) and the perceived color is influenced by the texture (and it's impossible to recreate the same texture at the micron-level). That being said we are trying to make it as close as possible.

I thought the approach was to match the pbt alphas on the keyboard... not the actual abs spacebar?
