[GB] Matt3o's Amazing Topre PBT Spacebars

I just received mine. Not sure if this is normal, but the only issue that I see is that the PBT spacebar is not aligned with the super and alt key. It can only be noticed if looked really closely.

Look at the alphas.  Topre keys are rarely if ever all perfectly square.  Heck, it even looks like the alt key isn't square, so expecting the spacebar to line up with it seems fruitless.

Your ABS spacebar doesn't look perfectly aligned either...but some of it is because the PBT Spacebar is warped..some of it is maybe it isn't set correctly because it is slightly warped...It just is how it is...I think most of my PBT Spacebars all required some tweaking to even work properly and that was just to be expected...

On the plus side, if you don't like it, you can always sell it..

my blue one on a HHKB has the same thing. it's even far worse on the right side. 1+mm
doesn't bother me, but it very obviously does not align well
i'm used to warped spacebars, i feel right at home.

That is the essence of PBT everywhere.  If you lot get angsty at looking at slight sizing irregularities then don't buy any Imsto key-caps because that will drive you mad.

If you love using PBT then spacing is not an issue because you want to feel the plastic, rather than looking at it's spacing on a keyboard.  Sorry for those who are OCD because you lot will indeed go into a fit or fall into an incapacitated stupor when you see any PBT keys sitting side by side.

Well, I think most PBT keys look fine...but spacebars are a different beast when it comes to PBT...I mean, the stock set isn't ABS because they just decided to do something funny....I'm sure it had to do with the number of rejects and issues..they just couldn't produce what they needed to with the consistency they wanted...

Even having to rebend my pbt spacebars, I still think they're great and prefer them a LOT more than the ABS ones..so much so I'm not sure I could even go back to the ABS ones...

I've finally got a (white) keyboard to put one of my spacebars on. It fits perfectly. Now I just have to get a black RF for the other spacebar.

I said i wasn't the biggest fan of the spacebar when i first got it but after a couple of months use they have settled quite well and suit the board perfectly.

1.  Is the light grey (white) spacebar the same shade as the white caps on the new Ducky Taiwan edition Realforce being sold on MK?

2.  When are we going to see another GB or MD drop for these spacebars???

I'm now thinking that the caps on the Ducky Realforce are more of a bright white than the caps on the normal Topre branded Realforce.  Can we PLEASE get the new Ducky-style bright white color as an option for the next drop of the PBT spacebars?  That would be so awesome!

I have that white ducky you are referring to, it's really white. And yes, we really need another GB/MD for this.
