Conclusion, mine is defective! :)
I don't think it's defective, a UV light will always make a GID cap glow brighter after a short exposure than sunlight will. If I had to rank these new BKs and Moondrops against my other GID caps I'd put them towards the bottom as far as GID charge time goes. Some GID caps just take a little extra effort to get decent brightness out of. My 420 Noct has always been my best GID cap, I don't know what clack did but the cap takes almost no light to get a bright glow while some of my GID blanks will only glow after a few minutes outside in direct sunlight.
I think it also depends on the color, the light blue/teal on my BK charges faster than the purple on my Moondrop.
