a show of hands

I'm probably in, but if the price was mentioned earlier, I missed it. Last I saw, Matt3o asked for a quote.

-potatowire

Later today I'm asking a quote for the following. If there's anything you'd like to see in it, just let me know.

Show Image

Maybe I missed it, but are the side printed graphics part of the retro set, or is this going to be an add on?

It will be an add on. They are too expensive for the base set.

I believe the above kit will go around $50-60. I still don't know when (and if) it will go live, that's totally up to Bunny, but the set is not terribly successful so... don't hold your breath.

I might had missed the DSA set, but I'm sure as hell not missing this SA set.  Just ordered up a few days ago.  Hopefully we can get the tipping point so that I can add the PETSCII set as well.

Bunny said there's no tipping point. Currently trying to figure out if there are 25 people willing to purchase the PETSCII set. That brings us to 5 if my count is correct. Come on, that's close enough! ;)

Well, finally sorted out my finance for the month and ordered this :)

This set is an insta-classic! If anyone misses out on this one, they're going to regret it when the pics start rolling in!

we would need to get 25 orders really for the add on to be worth doing, so if we could get a show of hands

This is my hand.

Oobly's right here, this key-set will become one of those INSTANT Classics when Googled by noobs of the future.

They would gasp and faint at the sight of these when the photos are first upped here on Geekhack, and eventually circulate around the world for everyone to see.  For those still hesitating about jumping onboard this Group Buy,  think about how much of a loser you'll be when you had the chance but refused to be a part of history here.  Explain that to your Grand kiddies on why you never participated in this famous event........

Great occasions only come around rarely so this opportunity has finally presented itself, hence grab it with both hands and pray you don't end up like some pathetic dweeb wishing he could of owned it.

true retro could use a little boost, so if you are sat on the fence and your decision is a coin flip, that would help out the most

Really the only thing keeping me from getting both is not wanting to be left with the extra keys from the set I only use the modifiers from. I think I will just get true though.

PETSCII makes it worth it. Is it possible to cover a fullsize board using PETSCII for the alphas and other kits to fill the rest out. I'm not sure profile would allow for it.

Sorry to be a noob but what is the longevity like with pad printing on the front of the caps? I'm guessing it's ages because they never get touched?

Hi Matt3o, great looking set. I might also participate, still thinking about it. One of the things I noticed is that you have a RACE in the OP, what caps did you put op F-row? R1 caps? How is that working out? I'd also like to put them on a RACE which is why I am asking.

The row profile actually works very well on a race, but I'm not sure you have all the needed keys! (please double check, the race has very weird sized keys)

I've got the Race II 84 ordered for the SA Retro set. I have ordered the base set and the Pro Mods for the 1u ctrl, alt etc. and the 1,75 shift.
As far as i know these are the only extraordinary caps on the Race 2 84.
Would like some confirmation though.

Keycool 84, my bad.

That's not a KBT Race II, it's a Keycool 84.

The profile of PgUp, PgDn and End won't match correctly, but they should be usable.
