Welcome GMK Toxic group buy.

I am very excited about this legendary design getting its turn again. And manufactured by GMK it gets the best quality implementation you can get on the market. GMK Toxic is my personal wish/dream which is about to become a reality and i hope you feel the same about it.
I am also very thankful to Danielucf (the designer of Toxic) and Bunnylake (responsible for round two) for trusting me to lead this project. Thank you!

It's toxic/neon/acid green

It's your monitor. Try to look it on a phone. At least on my Samsung phone (in current light condition ... keep in mind smart phones do adjust colors depending on light conditions) it displays colors correctly.

Tho GMK might have at least 8u spacebar and probably other vintage sizes like 9u or even 10u.

Most custom keyboards do allow Ansi x ISO enter combination.

Well JTK Toxic (i got it at my disposal) is just salad green on black. This here should match more the original sets manufactured by Signature Plastic. The green will be matched to the pantone chosen by Danielucf. And of course the base color will be gray and not black.

I got a pm (way back in the IC phase) from Daily Clack (afaik) and i told them to speak with Originative for proxying. I suggested also to have the proxy for AUS. Unfortunately as i've been told no request was done before. And again - for Toxic (it is a special case because its not my design - except for desolator kit) i am responsible only for kit design.

I'd love to get in on this, but a 2u bar is necessary for my layout. Will you consider adding a spacebar kit? Historically because the kit is cheap, they usually do quite well. With the large number of Alice boards and their clones, that's a lot of folks you'd be leaving out.

I'd just grab a 2u N9 bar but you say the difference would be quite noticable.

Originative run buys are always unusual (often private/vender buyout from the start?). I guess this set will join the likes of Darkskel as great sets in stock for reasonable prices that nobody knows about.

Since I live in South Korea, I want to buy this through zFrontier, but I wonder if I can qualify for Nightcaps artisan raffle even if I buy toxic from zFrontier. AFAIK the nightcaps raffle counts only for the purchases on Originative. So basically if you order any kit on Originative you should take part in it.

For new folks it probably offers too few colors. But let see how it ends - because its Christmas and there is Olivia++.
Yeah i guess all kits will get into production. But its just my guess so take it with a grain of salt.

The numbers look promising and its possible that every kit might make the MOQ on its own. We wait for the numbers from other vendors to make an update.

Man I know you are not doing anything apart from design, but it sucks that we can't get this kit in rest of Asia/Oceania. A shame, one of my favorite designs.

Base kit is priced nicely, wish it just had the mods built into the kit.

Right now I am trying to decide if its worth it to me to have a $330 keyset. (because I also want both novelty sets. )

Let me explain as followed.

I don't know if you have kids but if you have kids you obviously want your kids to have best future or best chances as possible in their live right? So basically you want your kids to go to the best school - so they can get the best education as possible - to get a better chance in live. Simple logic.

Well if you are designer ( or what every your project is) and you spend a lot of time into it with heart and soul then you treat it the same as if its your child. It's literally your baby. Every project you do with passion will become your child. Thus you will want your design (or project) to get best possible implementation (manufacturing).

Now you can figure why most designers do GMK sets.

And ABS vs PBT is a preference. I personally consider most PBT available on the market (and i had quite many pbt sets in my hand) to be inferior to GMK ABS keycaps in quality. Durability != Quality

Santi_go posted recently this on rmk.

Tho as you can see that cable's sheath is made of paracord, which is not bad, but Santi_go is able to make vintage style cables - which do have rubber sheath and this is what i highly recommend. For best matching i also recommend rubber with glossy surface (Santi_go can do both glossy and matte surface).

Covid times a huge increase in GMK sales in 2019 is creating large delays.

This set is on the wrong end of Olivia++’s 6000 base kits, and sets that ran in October 2019 may not arrive to people until June. I think Q4 2020 is a safe bet. The other thing is GMK’s emails and communications and color matching are also quite delayed, so I sorta interpret radio silence from T0mb3ry, other designers, and store owners as they have no updates to share.

Issue is, I would have bought from zF during gb but it wasn't available on their site, so I mailed them for extras, and said they won't be selling any.

I would honestly pre order from oco at this point if Shipping didn't start at 58$

coupla posts up I'd guessed Q4. I still don't have GMK Camping in my hands, and dracula hasn't been color matched, and they closed months ahead of this. Any estimate you get from GMK is just gonna be wrong anyways as they've walked back everything. Nov/Dec seems a reasonable guess right now, or a coupla weeks after Olivia ++ ships.

Like any other company in Germany (guess that counts also for other countries), GMK is slowed down in their processes due to Covid. I got already first samples which and the green color didn't match the DCS Toxic samples. So i ordered new sample and am waiting for it. Once i get proper samples i will definitely post those here.

This is a custom color iirc. I don't think it's a match for Night Runner.

The delay is caused by color matching. We ordered a third sample for toxic green. The colors are matched with original DCS Toxic.

Here I'll try. This is within 5-10$ of a pretty standard GB extra price. It's less of an increase from the GB price than many other extras have been recently.

I got some info from GMK. GMK Toxic will be on its way to vendors probably in March (if all goes well). So one can assume that the delivery to the customers might happen in April.
