Got my curry recipe just about perfected. Today was the first time I could honestly say what I made was better than every restaurant curry I've ever had except for this one place in SF I went to 20 years ago. It's very cathartic to know you can prepare something at such a level :)

How much coconut slurry did you use.

Using lemongrass beef bone broth instead of just water and adding maple syrup stepped it up to a whole other level this time

Noisy, are you a Canadian?

i do use fruits to add the sugar to mine (grated apple is safe, mango or pineapple when everyone at the table likes them), works quite nicely too, i need to try the broth method though.
as far as what i do eat lately, i have opened a bag of "strong pepper" and trying it out in pretty much every meal, like a spicy gnocchi "carbonara" yesterday and trying to perfect a recipe of vegetarian lasagna bolognese with no fake meats, quite hard to get right (and sorry TP it is not your incessant words of our doom to the hands of meat that gave me that idea, just that i know a person who do not like the taste of meat, but like cheese)

Just before I moved in last winter, my landlord cut down 3 huge oak trees. I was very irritated about it.

However, there was a bright side. With our recent warm weather and rains, clusters of ringless honey mushrooms have popped up all over the yard. I harvested probably 10-15 pounds of them but am very busy right now, so I am just going to dehydrate them. It will probably be 3 dehydrator loads full.

I do Japanese style that has honey in it, but instead I use maple syrup for a richer flavor

Haha, apple crisp > apple pie but I'll still definitely save room for pie even though stuffing is great.

it depend on what you do, agar will make for a stronger and more brittle result, sometimes it is exactly what you want though

Gelatin jello has this sour dying animal smell, pretty gross unless it's heavily flavored to mask it.  No problem with agar

where did you find your gelatin, i have both at home (because well different results and uses) and the gelatin is completely odor and tasteless while the agar has a very slight algae smell to it, although i never looked if my gelatin with the vegetal or animal kind.

Back in the day when Tp4 ate toxic meat products, he purchased many brands of unflavored gelatin (powder). They all have that same soury, pork rind smell/taste

Are you sure what you bought was gelatin ?

Sounds like sauce was made seperately and rest added just for mixing.
Normally when you cook a nice gulash you start from frying meat, then add veggies and make sauce in it, so all goes through it and get all the flavour.

You had ****ty gulash then :D

1st, get the original recipe right
2nd, remove the meat
3rd, enjoy

i did that with lasagna, they are not vegan because still got cheese and milk (cause the person i decided to make meat free lasagna for hates meat but loves cheese) but i replaced the meat with nuts and mushrooms. i will see if the goulash could support such a treatment

Good Call YUI,

Shrooomz are delicious.    They also make Cashew Cheez, all plant based, all smell and taste like cheez.

Meat is essentially tasteless. It's a slightly sour decomposing dead body.

If you walk up to any dead animal, NO HUMAN has a strong compulsion to eat it.

But even if you weren't hungry, you walk up to a water melon.  There is an NATURAL inclination to eat dat watermelon.

THEREIN lies the difference between a natural-HERBIVORE, which humans are  vs actual-omnivores/ carnivores.

You can't say the same about a cat or a dog, they will never attempt to eat a fruit in the wild, while they will most certainly eat into a dead corpse.

my cats would not agree with you there, 2 of them eat celery, chickpeas and apples with no hesitation, and my sister's cat only steal spinach, never meat, although my sister hate the taste of meat, so maybe she influenced her cat :)

and if meat taste of decomposing, maybe it should not be eaten, maybe you never had decent fresh meat

That's grasping at straws, yea, agreed, some cats are retarded. Cats can be retarded and still cute, so you'd never notice.

Feral animals do not hesitate to eat rotting meat.  Most of the larger ones will guard a sun-ripe corpse for DAYS and keep eating at it.

Hughmahnns have NO such inclinations.

My cousin has a dog (greyhound/Irish wolfhound mix) that eats everything - meat, vegetables, fruit, salad, dessert, I have never seen anything that it wouldn't or didn't eat.

She had my daughter and me over for dinner recently and it pilfered and ate my daughter's key lime pie off the table.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Made a nice ham and cheese sandwich, which I then fried on a pan on eggs with spring onions.

YUMMY
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Don't be ridiculous.

TP4 is AI.

TP is like:
