I definitely agree with you regarding the case, chyros. I've always preferred these over the original F-122 design - I had some half-baked ideas for a conversion project at some point, but I definitely don't have the technical skills to pull it off.

Plus, I like the square silver badge of the old battleships too much.

I think if the battleship had the battlecruiser case but with the LARGE square badge in the left corner instead it's be pretty amazing :D .

Unicomp are making what appears to be an M122, yet to see a review on it; though I expect it'd be similar in build to their other models, i.e. the thinner plastics etc.

Apparently it does have some issues (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=62060.msg1445825#msg1445825).

The very same, thank you, clearly I didn't look hard enough.

This is enough to put me off - considering the price, shame as it's such an iconic keyboard.

Kudos to dorkvader for sharing their work, too.

You can occasionally get them at a substantial discount - I've seen them listed in 2 or 3 places (a while back though) for a relatively small amount of money.  The sort of money that you could spend on it to see if it is as bad as rumoured, but shipping from US to Australia for something that big and heavy put me off.
