got a lite on sk-0002 in without a cord. hoping someone has one they can trace the cable on and tell me what the pinout is so i can wire it up to either ps2 or soarers converter. anyone?
-
Have you got multimeter?
-
sure do. a few flukes

As for ps/2, put in AT mode. Get a ps/2 extension lead and cut one of the connector.
Measure 5v and ground then you have data and clock left, the rest should be easy.

I've got this keyboard - the cable it comes with is the larger 5-pin DIN end. Works with a standard din->ps/2 converter. Hope that helps!
-
ramblinrose, can you trace the wires of the din connector and let me know which pins on the keyboard are gnd, vcc, clock, and data? would be forever grateful!
-
anyone else have this keyboard and can help me out? unfortunately ramblin doesn't have a multimeter
-
I'm useless! :-\ Good luck fixing the cable - it's a nice keyboard, I used mine at work for a week but it was too loud hah.
-
haha thanks. it's in great shape besides missing the cable. someone else has to have one of these boards

thanks, but doesn't help when there is no cable at all. only have a header on the keyboard circuit board. hence why i need someone to trace the pins.
-
Ah, I see. Maybe post some photos of the pcb from the top and bottom and someone might be able to read the circuit for you? Just follow the capacitors and diodes and you'll find negative and positive. Follow crystal to find clock.

i took an educated guess and was right on the first try.
gray (top) is ground
brown (3rd down) is vcc
yellow (4th down) is clock
red (5th down) is data
for future reference
