Hi all,
I'm working an a custom avr powered controller board for my fancy new unicomp 122 key and was wondering if anyone could help me find a connector that would work for connecting to the (FPC/FFC?) membrane/matrix.. I didn't realize these things had a "modern" connector until it finally arrived and I had been working under the assumption that it would have the same type of connections as the real model M's.
My original plan was to steal the connectors off the old board but this new unicomp doesn't actually have a "connector" just contacts pressed against the contacts on the keyboard membrane... I was going to make my controller out of regular proto-board rather than have a pcb printed so I need some kind of connector to interface with the keyboard matrix as opposed to just printing contacts like the board it came with...
I can add a picture later today but I assume from lurking aronud here for a while that you guys will know what I'm talking about and hopefully be able to help!
