Look at it this way...

Taco,              80 points

Costco Korn,   45 points

Taco,  10 minutes if you have left overs,  30 minutes if you drive to taco bell.

80/10 =  8 taste points/min

Costco korn,

45/0.133 = 337.5 taste points / min

a room temp can of sad-ass watery corn? ****ing gross dude.

you're telling yourself lies if you're convinced that't the ultimate midnight snack.

midnight is the hour of sin, the hour you let yourself be a little naughty 'cause you've been a good boy or girl all day long. you've starved yourself and pecked at chicken feed all day. midnight is when you have that high-calorie sweet savory sticky sugar on your lips goodness that sits in your tummy and puts a smile on your face as your eyelids grow heavy.

Hahahahaha...

I understand your perspective noisyturtle.

I've lived my entire life as you have before becoming hipster only a few short months ago.

I suppose the most important thing i want to impart is that Desires are relative..

Very much, during early transition, There were intrusive thoughts pertaining to certain foods and certain actions to procure those foods.

But as time went on, New cognitive pathways are formed.   And one realizes, that food is but ONE avenue of pleasure.

There is an near infinite number of activities out there to derive pleasure.   It's illogical to stick to mere gluttony.

It depends on how you value happiness vs time. Is it more gratifying to have small but pleasurable experiences frequently, or to suffer for longer durations to put a greater emphasis on pleasurable moments? Does indulging in 'sinful' activity more often dull the experience over time thus leading to the seeking of further heights, or is depriving yourself merely a mental placebo leading to unnecessary suffering where pleasure could be pointlessly supplemented?

or maybe i'm just drunk, stoned, and rambling :))

Hominy is more appetizing but probably less nutritious, but canned products are lame compared to fresh.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Hahahahaha..

Yea.. if your daily routine is full of things , like fried chicken, top ramen, steak, eggs, cheese,     A can of sweet corn has no allure.

But, once you remove the fatty foods..   Canned corn is among the top foods in terms of taste..

I wish pharmacon DID invent a cure for heart disease/ diabetus/ cancer/ stroke/ arthritis/ obesity/ osteoporosis/ which eating meat and grease causes,  But they have not..

So, You have to strike a deal at some point..

Steaks are 20%-30% fat by mass.

Most people eat 12-16 ounce steaks, 340g-454g.  That's 85 grams of fat to 113 grams.

When you go beyond 22g of fats per day..  you have a 100% probability arteriosclerosis,  they've autopsied the latest (post 2000) children generation eating standard 'western diets,  and found arterial plaque.

Do people really eat a steak that big regularly in the US?
If I have a 150g steak I consider myself quite full. Usually I have about 100g of meat per meal.

For kids we have the 8 ounce..

But people who are going out to eat (given economic means)  would get at least a 12 ounce

But this is PRE-cooked weight..  SO after cooking and water loss,  The Fat is still there,  but the water is gone, so you can eat more of it.

meats lose ~25% of water weight after cooking.

A 12 ounce would only come in at 8,  and a 16 would come in at 12

When I used to go to wendy's, I've seen kids these days, 9- 10 year old, round ones,  eat 2x wendy's triple stacks.

That's around 300 grams of meat.. 1300 calories from fat.

Yea, the difference is huge between canned veggies..

Corn is pretty much the only good one.

Things like canned string beans, broccoli cabbage, bamboo,  asparagus,  mushroom,   all taste bad..
