Where to get Ctrl and Alt keys for Model M?
« on: Mon, 09 December 2013, 18:18:20 »
I bought a 1390120 and it is missing the Control and Alt keys.  I looked on Unicomp, clicky keyboards, and Ebay, and I cannot find replacements anywhere.   Unicomp says they are not selling single keycaps more than 1 unit at the moment.

If there any place that I could get Control and Alt key caps for the Model M at the moment?
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

You don't want the RGB from Unicomp?

I'm probably gonna just clean this up and sell it, so the standard keycaps would be a better fit.

Although apparently out of those keys for now, every now and again this listing is updated with new keys:

You might also try a WTB thread in Classifieds - I was able to secure a space bar for one of my Model M.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

gsman50 on ebay should have some. He has multiple keys and is very easy to deal with.

Finally made it to 100 posts!  :thumb:
