Should we add an "Introductions" forum?

Okay.  There is more resistance to this than I thought there would be, but I understand the reasoning.

What if we put a sub-forum in the Off Topic forum?  In other forums I frequent, sub-forums just appear at the top of a forum page, before the threads.

Would this remedy the concerns about not wanting to add another forum and make the forum list not fit on a screen without scrolling?
